          most of the population around you??? There's journeyman and paid punching bags that genuinely love the sport, sleep, eat and breath the lifestyle, but have around a 2-15 record. are they not boxers???

            When you have your first fight

            And although it depends, but you generally become a serious boxer after 8-10 fights. Just from what I have seen and experienced.

                  I'd base it off ability. I know some extremely good cats that are in the gym everyday but they have no desire to compete. If you're able to fight with the instinct to box purely, you're a boxer.
