I think I made a thread in the history section long agom about the dirty tricks of the old-timers. I'll link it to you if you're interested,
Ah, I see. So it's perfectly ok if you're a dirty fighter from Viking Country! I understand now about the Ward bashing you've done since the Viking Warrior got schooled

Against Kessler....he was jumping in behind his punches....I'm pretty sure the headbutt(s) weren't part of the gameplan.

Watch all his other fights....no dirty tactics, no headbutts....just boxing skill and adaptation....sounds familiar....
Other fights contain lots of dirty stuff. Holding is illegal as well as headbutts.

So 'Ward is a dirty fighter' is a fair label to put on him at least for now. He hasn't shown the ability to win a big fight cleanly so far. That can change though. He is still young.

Battling Nelson: Nelson was grotesquely tough. When he stepped between the ropes, dirty fighting took on a new meaning. His thumbs were inquisitive when it came to eyes, his knees often seemed to have a reflex jerk towards testicles, his forehead tended to make aim independently.
WOW...I wasn't aware of this. This is funny though considering the thread.

Ward is technically sound, yet still sloppy sometimes

I'm saying that those in a position to set certain terms for the Super Six did so. All of Mikkel Kessler's big wins have come on his home turf. It's certainly not the end of the world. Who he beats is.

Its not like hes throwing low blows, intetionally headbutting etc, against Kessler he employed rough tactics, but ****, Kessler didint man up, im sorry, i was at that fight.
Maybe I missed TGA's posts which is a shame.

I myself has written about Bat's dirty stuff on a number of occasions, but that's really not the topic of this thread, although he always interests me.

As for Ward then, no offence but, I find it slightly laughable for you to say that those butts wasn't deliberate. I mean the guy rammed into clinches head first!

Only two big fights in his career.....Miranda and Kessler...passed both just fine.

He did hold ALOT in the Miranda fight....so you get round 1.....

Nelson gets a pass from me obviously.

Not if he fought in our time though.

Yeah as I said. Ward is a dirty fighter, but the label can change. It's fitting for now though.
