sure him arguably beating pac twice added to it but if he didn't have that fight with Diaz then he wouldn't fought Mayweather. Marquez had a lot of flare at that time they didn't just fight him to create a triangle theory thats just ******

A win over Diaz justifies ballooning up 10 lbs to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

It was a great win, but it was not a dominating win. Marquez lost a few rounds in that fight to a young guy with less than average power.

I don't know how a win over Diaz justifies taking a trip to WW.

I do know that Pac was mentioned in nearly every article that was written about the Mayweather-Marquez fight and even in several interviews Floyd said he was gonna beat the guy who beat Pacquiao.

I think my theory is more justified.

of course he was pac was the hottest thing going on on boxing coming from destroying Hatton and DLH so obviously his name would be brought up with mayweather coming back to the sport. so you honestly believe Mayweather camp did this fight for triangle theory or to send a message to Manny?

          Yes.

He had so many other options to choose from as comeback fight, and he chose a career featherweight. Why? To give the public the idea that he beat the man who beat Pacquiao.

Mayweather, who is due to face Marquez on September 19, said the Mexican’s ring prowess has prompted him to train hard for the fight.

I picked the guy who won, not the guy who lost. That tells me to take this fight seriously and to train hard," he said.

I hate it when mad ****** *******s say this.

JMM is an elite fighter, Pacquiao never trained Marquez. JMM = top caliber skills. JMM was a 2 time champion before he ever stepped in to the ring with Pacquiao. He won his first championship 8 years ago but according to your ****** ass, with out the Pacquiao fights:

Marquez would have never again fought for a championship

Marquez would have never fought on HBO or Showtime

No other promoter would have picked him up except for Sycuan Promotions after Top Rank and Marquez would be fighting on un-televised PPV undercards and Friday Night Fights on ESPN.

Because your whole world revolves around Pacquiao you fail to see that with or with out Pac, JMM would have added more titles to his waist, JMM would still be ranked in the top 10 of what ever division he was in, and JMM would still be fighting ranked fighters in title fights. JMM would expand his legacy over time.

He owes the Mexican fans and fighters for some of his success.

His biggest paydays and his highest selling PPV's at the lower weight classes were against Mexican fighters. Compare his PPV's against EK, MAB, and JMM against other opponents if you don't believe. Everyone knows Mexican fans are the biggest fan base in the sport.

He also needs to start giving EK credit for his win against Pac. EK forced him to become more than just a one punch puncher and become a complete boxer.

Marquez makes the ******est business decisions ever. He coulda fought Pac on March 13 but he asked for the same things Floyd did. If Floyd wasnt gonna get em what did he think would happen to him.

Know the facts before you start calling boxers names.

Why the **** would he fight Manny for peanuts? Arum never made JMM a good offer to fight Manny. Stop believing the bull**** you hear on BS.

who did he fight after pacquiao 1 and before the pacquiao rematch aside from barrera?

the only reason he got barrera was because gbp wanted to set up the pacquiao rematch anyway.
