Isn't Cotto a better plan B for Floyd than Martinez?

Hell no man. A win over Martinez would be the best win of Mayweather's career. You have to take Martinez's size into consideration, also his style. Cotto at this stage has taken far too much punishment, Martinez presents an even bigger challenge.

No doubt is he more of a challenge but my point is that legacy wise Mayweather should fight Cotto unless if the fight is at MW where he can get another divisional title. Martinez is not a historic name by any means, Cotto is.

first cotto lost twice already and the guy he need to fight another guys first b4 proving his good enough to face bigger fights...

cotto againts mayweather is not challenging and i can see floyd winning easy

floyd - martinez is the best plan B, coz we can see martinez has chance to beat his arse

but i guess we wont ever see that fight coz floyd wont take it its too much of a risk

A green Paul Williams did NOT outclass Margarito. He beat Marg but had that been a 15 round fight he would of clearly lost. Marg started off real slow but won like every round after the 7th. Had he fought a bit better from the start Williams would of got the L, not the other way around.

You must have high praise for Martinez because Cotto has one of the best resumes in the fight game right now and is borderline hall of fame. Martinez better do some special things or I'll give you hell for it. Martinez is solid but he hasn't gone through the talent that Miguel has went through and he lost to Margarito just like Cotto, but Cotto for a lot of the fight was beating Margarito, he just wore down(maybe even by plaster). As for Pac, Pac is Pac, a special talent. No shame in losing to him.

Williams won 8-4 he comfortably won, and that was when he was green and margarito was at his peak.

He is no hall of famer, it will take wins over martinez and williams to get him in, and that isn't happening. Yes the plaster excuse, its getting old Margarito won fair and squar.
