If he is worried about money, then yes. Floyd is at that point in his career where he does a million buys against anyone and anything else would be because of outside fan bases. Against Martinez, although it is a fight fans dream, he has no fan base so it would do the million buys. Cotto on the other hand has a large fan base and would bring many more buys to the ppv. If he fights Cotto the ppv does 1.3 to 1.5 million buys.

Beating Martinez especially for the MW title is always the better option. Martinez is on a roll and more on the upside than Cotto and is actually a fight that Floyd can loose.
