From a business perspective I can tell you exactly why Manny deserves 50%. Answer: because Floyd can't make as much money against ANY other fighter even if he's taking 80% of the pie. Neither of them can, so its a fair compromise to not only get richer, but to give the fans what they want.
permit me if i may add, also in a business perspective there is this what you call premiums, that is intangibles. what are these intangibles that floyd should consider reasons to accept 50-50? firstly, pacquiao is considered by most as the current p4p. there were those who wanted or are willing to fight him for lesser percentage not only for larger paychecks but also to get the chance to share the ring with the future ATG/GOAT, who knows maybe with a stroke of luck they win over him. and of course pacman is a multi division/lineal champion, he currently holds the record of 7, the first one and the only one right now. another thing is pacman just received his FOTD award, hes the fighter of the decade. even if floyd doesnt care about legacy, fighting the pacman and beating him will give him the intangibles not even $50M cant buy. the chance to share the ring with the FOTD, future ATG/GOAT, 7 weight division champ, 3 time FOTY, one of the few boxers who graces the cover of Time Magazine, boxer who sang "Sometimes When We Touch" in the Jerry Kimmel Show, one of the Most Influential Persons, a Congressman, one who many says is considered a god in his country, one who is friend to Buboy Fernandez, and a chance to beat this guy atop the ring, hell yeah, 50-50 is already a good bargain for all those intangibles and premiums.

if floyd still cant see it that way well by all means fight martinez or even cotto hell earn millions alright but in the process he also loses more than that.

reason pacquiao agreeing to 14 days now is very obvious, he maybe really retiring very soon and there is only one fight left for him and he wants to give what fightfans wanted, thats really why hes agreeing.

and floyd? how long will fight fans tolerates him? if he will not fight pac somehow fans will get their revenge.mark my word when fightfans pull the welcome rug under him he will be left with nothing and he will be worth also nothing.

What do you mean by "accept?" Who did the offering? When?
