As much as I hate to, I am beginning to think you are right. Arum is not negotiating in good faith. He is trying to agree to something that is no longer on the table but is in Pac's best interest. That is no different than what they did seven months ago. I am afraid that what will happen is that Floyd's people will tell Arum Floyd wants 55-45 with no cutoff. Pac will refuse, fight Cotto at 150 for the 154 pound title. He will win a controversial decision and the fight will draw less than 1 million ppv. Then Pac and Arum will say we will accept the 55-45 split and no cutoff. By then the terms will be 65-35 with no cutoff for tests. Aurm and Pac need to recognize that they have to take what Floyd offers, not the other way around.

    • Why does the champion (Manny) have to stoop down to a challenger (Mayweather) with no belts for negotiations? It's because they are trying to be businessmen. For some reason, he (Floyd) didn't ask for 14 days for Mosely. We already know what cowards do. This excuse from Floyd for not fighting will be beautiful.

        • Most of the corporate people that I talk to are saying that they are not even going to invest in this fight if it doesn't go through with negotiations around November. What's the point? One fighter wants to fight the other doesn't. It's being dragged out to long, getting boring. I might not buy it for the first time.

          • @Big James, I think you are in-correct in your assessment. Pacman doesn't need to fight anymore if he doesn't want to, he has so much money (especially in the Phillipines) his grandchildren will never have to work one day. The Floyd Mayweather talk of retirement is a joke. Floyd Jr. owed Golden Boy $10 Million for covering all his debts including back taxes. After Floyd's fights with Marquez and Mosley, he made $30 Million, and after taxes that turn into about $16 Million. So, $10 Million goes to Golden Boy Prod, and after paying trainers, cut men, etc, what does he have left? Only a few million dollars. To me and you, that would last a lifetime, to a guy like Floyd Jr, that will last him 6 months to a year, max! And then what will happen if he can't pay Uncle Sam. So, the deal should be this, 50-50 even split or 60-40 to the winner. Plus, Manny fights one more time and calls it a career. Floyd knows this so if negotiates to make sure the fight don't happen, nobody makes $40 Million + and Floyd is the one who needs the money more....

            • They've agreed quickly cos they want to maintain the 50/50 money share, knowing that Mayweather is a bigger PPV draw. Floyd should not agree to the 50/50 split, since he's the bigger draw, he should get more than 50%. Secondly, *** the 14 day cutoff. Random blood test should be random blood test, NO CUTOFFS!

This..and im just gonna say it, this is a full on attempt from filipino media to paint pacquiao in a good light, plain and simple. They are begging at this point. Mayweather is literally doing nothin and honestly, this is how a man with power reacts, you let that **** marinate.

Mayweather gets done dominating a fighter you all, and i mean ALL YOU PAC FANS said hed never fight, now look at you, photoshopping chickens on mayweather, calling him a coward etc.

Its like some of you cant live with the fact that negotiations and fights take time to develop and only an idiot would jump on things knowing pac and his team are desperate and begging.

If i was mayweather id say **** it, let this go on for another month and make them bow down and kiss the ring.

This prove mannys lawsuit and all his ho ass crying was all for show. Manny has easily the dumbest group of hangers on/lawyers and mouthpieces i have ever seen for a fighter. This shows alot about his pedigree when it comes to being buisness minded.

If a fight between him and mayweather does happen, hell have to bend to just about everything he said he wouldnt last time around. So whatever on all of this. Im not gonna participate in 43 pages of cokksucking from any of you.

                **** all you

If you can bring up a week old topic into an entirely different debate, I'm pretty sure you can find more "proof." Hopefully it's not as lame as some writer saying "they appear to be secretly negotiating." IE. I DON'T KNOW.

What? You had no idea about Corrales's condition so how can you even be remotely right about that? Even now you are trying to argue about that and saying I'm desperate? I was right about the fact that if people are willing to discredit Manny's win because a so called fighter, Morales, who was actually winning by 3 rounds, was not fit due to weight issues then you must discredit Floyd's win against a guy who had the flu, had major weight issues , was getting ready to go to prison AND that his own strengthening coach ADMITTED (owned up) to the fact that they made a mistake with his weight program/regime!!!

                    It was a slam dunk!

I said it back then that you would either avoid the post or make excuses. You proved me wrong. You did BOTH .....You avoided my post AND now you made a sorry lame excuse.

Might as well add the following:

                      http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=28364

The astute promoter said "I am sure that will come clear this coming week" even as Arum admitted that communications with Mayweather camp was still going on.
