Do you think this would be a good fight and a good matchup? Erdei, former cruiserweight champ, is coming off an exciting fight and he has been available for a while. Honestly, this is a way better matchup than Jesse Brinkley IMO, who Bute is rumored to fight next.

He is not a cruiserweight anymore, he vacated the title and Wlodarcyk beat Fragomeni to claim it.
Erdei will probably retire unless he gets a good offer.
He is ranked #2 or #3 by the WBC and would likely be the mandatory challenger to the winner of Dawson-Pascal.
Problem is that if Dawson wins I hardly think he will be interested in fighting Erdei and he would probably vacate his belt to fight Cloud for the IBF strap. Dawson has dropped a belt once to avoid an unpopular matchup I don't doubt that he would do it again if the WBC makes Erdei mandatory.Comment
