PAC's workrate, weight, speed & power

Everyone as they move up in weight don't have to drain themselves as much. Doesn't mean they're gonna show the same improvements Pacquiao has.Comment

Henry Armstrong perhaps? [very subjective]When I saw the statistics in HBO of PAC's performances it didn't make much sense: Higher the weight class, higher his workrate??!! also older he seems to be more active in the ring, more stamina...with same power & speed!!!, iron chin...
Not saying he's on to something, but are there other boxers that have done the same?...not only keeping his power, but getting higher workrate and same Speed??
But Pacquiao's just a freak of nature.Comment

^^^^^^This. I disagree about his punch resistance though, as it has definitely improved. This improvement however, is more than likely due to technique/training, eating proper and not having to cut as much weight.Last edited by Khalid X; 05-31-2010, 02:10 PM.Comment

i promise u his workrate won't be the same when he fights mayweather remember his fight with marquez when he fights counter punchers he doesn't throw as manyComment

yes he is. floyd has the quicker hands, mosley looked slow against floyd and we know mosley is very fast. i dont care what anyone says but when they get in the ring you will see for yourself floyd will be the quicker man in that square circle.Comment

you want examples as far as what? Someone moving up in weight and there punch resistance improving? How about Cotto pre-Pacquiao. He was dropped by Torres and hurt by Corley, yet Margarito & Shane landed tons of Flush punches and he wasn't dropped.
This is just a recent example and there are several of these throughout the history of the sport.Comment

That is because he stood in the pocket with Marquez and tried to box with him. He won't do that against Floyd. Neither Pac or Roach are dumb enough to try that strategy against Floyd.Comment
