I may not be fully understanding.
It's hard to explain. I respect the way Floyd fought Shane. I lost a 500 bet to my son. i didn't think that floyd would rock back shane's jab and throw the right counter. i lost another 100 when floyd threw the lead jab to the body and followed with a straight right. i cant undersrand how shane didnt step back from that. to me that was seriously the ultimate sign that he was tired.

in boxing, you need space to throw. but may will never be in this "space." shane couldnt engage because floyd was never in his reach. floyd comes with 1 punch then closes gap. it looked like he was a dragon breathing fire to most, but this was seriously pusssy ****. 1 punch, close in. then again and again.

i mean diego corrales threw almost 900 punches against gairy st claire, how many did he throw against floyd?

hatton threw 755 punches against juan urango and 741 against collazo , how many did he throw against floyd? he threw 372 and 53 landed which is a connect percentage of 17%

marquez threw 732 punches against juan diaz in 9 rounds

mosley threw 774 against cotto and 507 against margarito in 9 rounds but he threw 452 against floyd and landed 92, which is a connect percentage of 20%

de la hoya threw 810 against forbes, 792 against sturm.

the point of this thread is that floyd can make a fighter think twice and reduce their work rate because he throws accurate counterpunches, this is why mosley got "tired" and "looked his age" ..mosley wouldnt throw because he was getting countered so he was being very careful with what he threw
so caeful with what he threw that he was gassed by mid fight..lol..hey how old was SSM and what was his longest lay off ever in his career.

This is why JLC did so well against Floyd. Many including myself felt he won the first time, and he was very competitive the second time. Reason being he wasnt afraid of being countered. He just threw. He had the right mental mindset fighting floyd.

Floyd does so well with his defense, his opponents get frustrated that their missing and begin looking for one shot. They being looking for one shot, and Floyd starts to pot shot and counter making his opponent even more frustrated and mentally defeated. You cant be afraid of missing when you fight Floyd. Your going to miss.

To beat Floyd you need to be mentally strong, and confident of your abilities for 12 rounds.

Seriously, you're complaining about Floyd having a better game plan and the skill to make Shane look 56 yrs old? lmao

You gotta love online fans and how tough they are while posting on forums such as these. Mayweather's style is "p*ssy ****" huh? Mosley was in punching range or reach all night, he just couldn't pull the trigger. Everybody who isn't blinded by some type of bias saw this.

Maybe because he runs so much and is never within punching distance. So boxers wont waste punches against him.

What do you mean by "cherry pick" and what does that have to do with how great of a fighter he claims to be? The guy boxes, he's great at hitting without getting hit. This is something that ALL boxing fans should appreciate, yet I constantly see people criticizing or complaining about it.
