Does anyone think Devon Alexander is being a bit overhyped?

I don't know about all that mess, but duck-storm believes alexander is the best at 140 lbs, that's why he'd rather duck devon and fight anybody except devon.

floyd III (aka. timmah bradley) never talks about devon unless someone brings him up and he always talks about money, but alexander will net him more money than agrebu.

I dunno if alexander is being overhyped, but one thing I do know, bradley is ducking devon.

Every single boxer is overrated by someone here. But yeah, he's good but fairly unproven in comparison to the hype he's got at the moment

Pretty much Devon is oberhyped after beating whom. He isnt elite yet. Mayweather gave him props but his defense is a little shaky the way he was eating over hands rights from his last fight. He can be beat but it does seem bradley is avoiding him.

Urango isnt exactly hard to hit but Im still suprised Alexander Kod him. My vote is out untill I see him vs a more skilled top level opponent.

              khan showed glimpses against malignaggi.
              alexander showed some against urango.
bradley beat peterson, who i dont really consider a top contender.
maidana got props with the ortiz fight.
ortiz has to prove himself even more.

until they all fight each other, we wont know who's legit or not.
              This. above all.

This right here is what I've been saying all along. And fighters like Bradley and Khan have the footspeed to get in and out before he throws that uppercut. Lamont Peterson was trying to land his uppercut all night against Bradley, but he was hitting nothing but air.

only a few guys make some valid points, others seems to be trying to downgrade Alexander because they are fans of Khan or Bradley more...I doesn't matter what any of you think, only way we will ever know is if somebody actually fights him and try to expose him and PROVE that he is "Overhyped", you would think people would be rushing to fight him if they feel he is overhyped much like people are rushing to fight Amir Khan because they see somethings they can exploit

again they are all OVERHYPED other then Bradley, Khan is overhyped as well and so is Maidana, so again we won't know who is the real deal until they all fight each other, sure he has flaws they ALL DO, people forget that Alexander is only 23, Khan is 23, Vic Ortiz is only 23, none of these guy have reached their Peak yet

I still think when it is all said it done Alexander will be the last one standing either him or Bradley or MAYBE Khan (but that Chin is still in question)
