I can't help but think so. H2H he may have a good chance against anyone at 140, but honestly if Khan beats another fighter or two at 140, he really shouldn't be that far behind Alexander resume wise. Just feel like the only truely proven guy at 140 is Bradley right now.
Does anyone think Devon Alexander is being a bit overhyped?

i hadnt watched a fight of his until today and i have to say hes got alot to offer, hes very good, amir khan is not where he is by any means, hes really good but has question marks and hes only 23, pretty much any 23 year old other than a heavyweight should not be famous, its never happened reallyComment

devon is skilled, always in shape, and has good power. right now in his division, we are all clamoring to see who is the man, until they sort it out, alexander is one of the top guys, so, i don't think that he's being over hyped, i think he's getting his just dues up to the present date.
i actually think he's been a dark horse in the division up until his stoppage of urango.
as real fight fans, we have known about him, and have waited to see who he fights and what he's going to do next, so it's no secret to us who he is and what he is capable of doing, alexander is now getting some fame about him with the casual fans, or the newbies, nothing wrong with that, you just got to know how to seperate the knowledge from the unknowledgeable.
140 is really exciting right now, there is a lot of talent, and out of that talent, the best are gonna seperate themselves and then fight one another, to settle who is the man at 140..................Comment

He is overhyped. If he struggles against Kotelnik you will never hear the end of it. But that's what people do to everyone after a bout.Comment

Devon Alexander is the truth, all it takes is for one of these 140 lbs top contenders to grow a pair and go fight him then the world will see him REAL Alexander is
stop listening to Freddie Roach and his BULL****, he is trying to down play Alexander because he probably truly don't want Khan to fight him
honestly they are all a little over hyped other then Tim Bradley who earned his status in the ring while the rest are being hyped on "Potential" and Lamont Peterson is under hyped now because he lost to BradleyComment
