What's with people and there "he was ruined in this fight!" in instances where the defeated fighter went on to score some of their best wins AFTER the loss?

Mayweather-Corrales? Corrales's 3 best wins were probably Castillo 1, Casamayor 2, and Freitas..all of which came 3 years after the Mayweather fight.

Tszyu-Judah? Judah's best win was more than 3 years after the Tszyu fight. Tszyu was just the first guy to really show Zab's problems with his mind/focus.

He's not what he once was, but as ugly as it may have been (including the post-fight interview), Karmazin was a good win considering the level of opposition and the move up in weight.

It is kind of why I threw a ring death in there with Leavander Johnson.

I think people get really impressionable when they see a ko and forgot what happened since.

I agree, My point was that at one time Spinks looked as though he could be a really good fighter or boxer (I dont think you can call Cory Spinks a fighter lol). He looked like he could be something special and since the loss to Judah, That kind of derailed it all for him.

But yeah. Karmazin is a pretty good win for anybody. Especially for your first fight in a new weight class. It was a good victory for him.

Sam Peter V James Toney (both fights).

JT should never have gone to heavyweight, and I hate to say but his whole life was changed by peter. It was just 1 or 2 heavy punches too many.

I think Toney was already fighting on borrowed time by the Peter fights. 38 years old, close to 80 pro fights and 600 rounds.

I can only imagine how many rounds he's sparred in addition to those 600 rounds that he's had in real fights.
