MMA is a joke. I'm watching the Rampage-Rashad fight. All that build up and it's only a 15 minute fight. Rashad is just holding him against the cage and waiting for the time to run out. These fights need to be longer.

I don't think boxing has anything to worry about. TONS of MMA main events have been total duds lately.

MMA was a big fad, it's leveled out.

Boxing has been pretty consistent for over century.

            Boxing is boxing.

MMA has no where to go but up. It will continue to grow and continue to grow. Because no matter what, people will pay to a see a fight and no matter what people will practice Martial Arts.

So regardless of what you boxing extremists say, MMA is here and it will always be here.

They both have bright futures but I notice one thing about the two. Boxing fans kill boxing themselves by never accepting that the newer fighters can be better than the past boxers. Boxing is the ONLY sport where the athletes get worse instead of better.

Eh, that's not really true at all. The ATG's in boxing are ATGs because they're ****ing good. Legacy is cemented over time, not many people are declared the ATGs while they're still actively fighting. The fact that many fighting today are being ranked up there with truly outstanding boxers says quite a bit about them.

Now compare that to MMA where fighters get title shots with only 1-2 wins. And become AWESOME UNDEFEATED champions at 3-0

You make a great point there, but that's for a another thread. But overall, if boxing could be organized like a major sport, I'd say it will alway remain more popular than MMA, worldwide for sure, and maybe in America as well.

MMA is relatively new. So you fail, fucktard.

And I don't give a **** if they are ATGs or not. That is not the issue. The issue is boxing is the only sport where athletes aren't considered better than the past champions. Every fucking sport in the world has athletes considered better than the past except Boxing. Boxing fans just won't except it, which hinders the growth of the sport. If I made a thread right now saying Evander Holyfield in his prime could beat a prime Ali, everyone on this site would blow a gasket.
