Tito became a legend beating DLH at 147 and demolishing Vargas at 154 and killing Joppy to be the undisputed middleweight champion of the world. Trinidad is one of the best fighters of the last 30 years. He was a true character. If Tito would have beaten Hopkins, he would be a top 10 ATG.

Cotto is a lesser star but still a unique fighter and one of the best body punchers in boxing history.

ppl say its personality. but i dnt think so. i think its the fact that many pr fans thought tito was invincible. the guy was truly brilliant in the ring. howeverm from the outset, even when cotto was being touted as the second coming for pr boxing, he never really had the rpresence inside or outside the ring like tito. there were times when he looked extremely vulnerable. it's like ppl were just waiting for the train to derail. add that to the fact that his prime was wayyy too short and he's never been as dominant at ww as tito was and u have the answer to why the two just rnt comparable.
