first off, i always thought that he should've linked back up with burns, because, they had real chemistry and it seemed taylor was comfortable with him and trusted him, unlike with steward.

i say if taylor takes it real serious, he takes it slow, and whether or not he can make it back to the A level is one thing, but he can get some good wins and get some decent scraps in and then call it a day leaving the sport in the win column.

getting back to the win column will boost taylors confidence. he should take some espn fights and some undercard fights, get some wins, make a decent match up and payday, call it a career, go out and find some spot in the sport that pays without getting punched............ thats what taylor should do.

Yes, he's still with his wife AFAIK; this is just someone he's posing for a photo with.

He said that as a kid, he used to stutter a lot, which he fixed as an adult but still stutters to an extent.

A person who already stutters naturally, mixed with being punch drunk after a career in boxing........not a good combo. If he were a Floyd Mayweather in fitness, I'd say let him have another shot, but no. And he doesn't have any defense either. He needs to get out of boxing.

JErmain Taylor has Mars in Libra like Tavoris Cloud, Chad Dawson and a few other fighters. Ebs and flows in energy will be a part of his life, it's just how he was made. So what he has to do is when he feels a Lull in energy "Cheat" by making sure to keep a tight guard and jab, and circle. when the energy flows make sure to put some strong punches together to gain respect.

I was never a fan of Taylor as a boxer but I always admired his willingness to take tough fights. I dont know where he can really go from here

I dont agree with this, Pat Burns or not, Taylor has been lackluster since the second half of the bernard hopkins fight in 05 (the first one).

Boxing is simply no longer for him. He fought a murderers row of opponents no matter the style, wright, ouma, hopkins, spinks, froch, abraham, no one can take that away from him. but its over

                  This seems to be confirmed:

8CN Breaking News: Jermain Taylor reuniting with Pat Burns?

                  January 3rd, 2011
                  Brad Cooney

8CN just spoke with boxing trainer Ozell Nelson who has been side by side with former undisputed middleweight world champion Jermain Taylor for several years. Nelson informed 8CN that he and Taylor have parted ways. In 2006 Nelson took the trainer spot from Pat Burns only to turn it over to Emanuel Steward shortly afterward. The Taylor/Steward partnership only lasted from 2006 to 2007 and Nelson took the helm again. This time he held onto the head training spot until now.

Nelson just informed 8CN that he and Taylor have parted ways, "We left in good standing, we are good though. It was just time to go in a different direction. This happens in boxing sometimes."

Nelson added, "Jermain took a year off and it looks like he's going to go back with Pat Burns." Burns has worked with Jermain Taylor since he fought in the amateurs all the way up to his first world title as a pro when he defeated Bernard Hopkins VIA split decision.

Stay tuned to 8CN for further updates.

Jermain Taylor vs. Edison Miranda would be good comeback fight, or even Lucian Bute
