If Burns can turn him back into the Jermain Taylor that was the ****er with the missle jab...maybe.
I dont know who turned him into the dancing, jab only, points victory minded KO victim waiting to happen. But it ****** watching it happen.
Granted, the fighters that he beat the piss out of: a shot William Joppy, Daniel Edouard, Roul Marquez were guys MOVING UP in weight.
And ever since he started getting in the ring with actual 160lb or 168 pounders he either won on points or got KTFO.
So I have my doubts. I feel that if he sold out and went out there to destroy guys, he has the speed, talent, and reasonable power to impose his will and actually do it.
But nothing over the last few years reassures me that that fighter is still in there. And If he is the same tentative, just out there to survive JT....he is just going to get crushed again.

Of course tune-ups are in order first.

Librado Andrade is exactly the type of guy not to fight for Taylor right now, don't need to fight someone with an iron chin, good stamina and who almost always comes on late in a fight.
maybe Enrique Ornelas would be a better opponent
im a big JT fan and if pat burns can keep the dancing and excessive movement to a minimum, maybe his stamina issues will decrease beacuse that is where he loses his energy.....that, nervousness, and basically taking punishment without throwing hard shots to keep guys off like he used to...not just a jab like somoene else said.Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 01-03-2011, 09:35 PM.

But with his history of fading late he might get in trouble if he can't get Miranda out of there early.
Jesse Brinkley and Vitaliy Tsypko are also good choices.
