You Manny stans are something else. Everything that happens equal ducking to you. I can remember back to the Pac-Hatton fight where Manny wanted MORE money (STOP SAYING HE FIGHTS FOR THE FANS! HE FIGHTS FOR A CHECK LIKE EVERY OTHER FIGTHER) AND NONE OF YOU SAID HE WAS DUCKING!

what i dont get is why the hell cant both sides negotiate in good faith. why does every move have be telegraphed to the media. that just makes the egos worse and causes more stubbonness. i swear pac's team needs to stop the unprofessional nonsense. no1 can say mayweather or gbp are coming out and tlkin about the negotiations. they have really been hush. negotiate in good faith. thats the proper way to do it. thats how rich ppl stay rich. when are these fools gonna learn??

JMM was also coming off of his lone effort of trying to be the A side of a PPV event with Casamayor and did 100K buys. So its not exactly like Maywetaher has had two megastars on the other side of the fight poster either.
Cotto isn't a national draw, he's the equivalent of a regional team. He's popular in certain parts of the country(NY for example) but he isn't a national sports figure much in the way Trinidad was before him. Pac sang on Jimmy Kimmel for god sakes, he connects with a younger audience and was given the first seat on Jay Leno or David Letterman, not at the conclusion of their shows. He has an accessible personality which helps. Floyd did big numbers because of the residual effect of his first 24/7. I bet the house if he takes on what people perceive as soft touches and without HBO 24/7 his numbers will drop substantially. I also guarantee you if he fought someone like Clottey he wouldn't have done comparable numbers and half the stadium would have been empty.

Because this isn't kickball during recess. It's a sport, a business, and a career for them.

Mayweather-Mosley did better than Pacquiao-De La Hoya. Think about that for a second.

The point is the things got resolved quickly and the show went on, with Floyd it's never that simple, it takes a leap year and a presidential election cycle for this ****er to make a decision.

Mayweather also had what was perceived by the public as his first legitimate threat, that sold the event. What were Pac's numbers against ODLH?

1.25mil. In other words, Mayweather-Mosley did better than any PPV Pacquiao has ever headlined.

ummm thats exactly why they shoudl do it in good faith with the intent on gettin it done. i mean look u have corporations who are ready to shell out billions of dollar for takeovers/mergers/deals with other corporations and u never hear about the **** that goes on in their negotiations(and im a law student, so trust me a lot of **** happens, bigger than any boxing negotiation). these people are smart. thats how u do buisness.

                      Boxers are too money-minded.

FLOYD making FIGHTS in BOXING turn into something about demands... I bet after this fight... all other fighters and their EGOS are going to become huge after these talks settle down... why can't these 2 dudes just fight 50-50.. every fight should be 50-50..
