Comments Thread For: Team Pacquiao: Floyd Mayweather Demands More Money

Before we point fingers, lets sit back and see where this goes - its all posturing which is common. I like the fact that Floyd's team is keeping the negotiations out of the media unlike Pac's side regardless of the demands on the table. Floyd's demand for more $ pending the ppv buys against Mosley is nothing new to Pac, his team or his fans, well some of his fans. Just as we all know Floyd will probably not get exactly what he wants on the testing issue. To say Floyd is ducking is ridiculous - this is BUSINESS.
50/50 is fair.Comment

No, it's not. But that sorta throws the whole "Floyd wants more therefore he's ducking" jargon in the trash where it belongs. Mayweather did over one million more buys fighting Oscar than Pacquiao did. That really should end that debate. Because at the end of the day, HBO could care less about a live gate if it means they get less money. And the bottom line is always the dollar sign.
I second that IMDAZED.Comment

What makes you say that? And how does that make him different from...Pacquiao?
Well he fought twice more after Baldomir and retired as the biggest star in the sport. But that's neither here nor there and quite frankly, everything you're saying is irrelevant. Let's stick to the topic at hand.Comment

You are waaaaaay too emotional. I've been reading your comments the whole thread. And what are you talking about his response? Dude said he wanted more than 50/50 back in February, where were you then?Comment

I think every fighter feels the need to control negotiations. Makes him no different than the other current superstar (Pacquiao) and the last one (Oscar). Sheesh, it's not like he's asking for Pacquiao to fight him at 160. If you put personal thoughts aside, you'd see that the only thing he asked for was drug testing. Since when is that an issue someone should get bashed for? I just don't get it.Comment

JMM is a draw in own right, but he's never approached anything close to the 1.1M PPV buys he did with Mayweather. He did 400K as the B side of Pacqauio-Marquez II which was his previous high. And in his lone shot at being an A side PPV attraction, he did 100K buys with Casamayor. So looking at his previous numbers, I wouldn't credit him too much with the numbers he and Mayweather we able to do.Comment
