He had a plan to move up and see how his body would react to those higher weight classes, once guys started dropping he said to himself 147 is a place where I could be successful and at the same time make more money. I realize money is important, taking ego out of the equation what he's done in the amount of time that he's done it is remarkable. As a fan of boxing, this is a fight we all want to see and everyone is acting like they are Floyd's accountant trying to use triangle theories as to why he deserves more money, both deserve a 50/50 split, PPV is one component, so is the venue/gate and sponsorship dollars which are all comparable.
i cant lie switch, i really want to see this fight. all my pinoy friends are trying to bet the farm and im hearing non stop trash talking. even from the ladies. so i hope this fight gets made so i can shut them all up. i just want to see good fights.

First they bleed their way out, now they demand their way out. JUST RETIRE FRAUD, BOXING IS BETTER WITHOUT YOU!
I think Pacquiao's a piece of trash, but BOXING IS NOT BETTER WITHOUT either him or Mayweather, so quit making that foolish statement. Who though Manny would step in the ring with Floyd? Floyd complained and raised all kinds of hell about fighting Mosley, so much so, even as a Mayweather fan, I was questioned my loyalty, what happened there? I believe that Manny Pacquiao is the #2 reason why Floyd came out of retirement and #1 on his hit list since his return.

@Buckadacious.. I agree that Floyd did stand toe to toe, but I could tell from Mosley's body language (like in his first fight with Winky), that he had given up after the first 6 rounds. The Mayweather's were right that Mosley would do that herky-jerky thing and be between styles. I don't fault Floyd in that fight, he did what he had to do. I do feel though if that were Pacman fighting Mosley, he would have went for the kill in the last 3 rounds when Mosley was spent and probably got the KO or TKO...

Maybe. But he would've had to have survived round two in this scenario.

Mosley's mouth was gaping wide open in round 3! Looked like the movie Independence Day about to swallow up the earth.

The guys ego is beyond fragile. Can you imagine if he loses, how he'll be able to deal with that? End up on Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab with Roger and his dad, then we get a real kick ass 24/7.

Pacquaio-Cotto had a 24/7, why didn't it outdo Mayweather-Mosley and Cotto is a bigger draw than Mosley. JMM isn't a draw. His biggest number came in the Pacquaio rematch at 400K as the B side fo that promotion. JMM was also coming off of his lone effort of trying to be the A side of a PPV event with Casamayor and did 100K buys. So its not exactly like Maywetaher has had two megastars on the other side of the fight poster either.

How can you say he shouldnt get more money?? He had a smoking deal on the table and turned it down earlier this year. should've had the balls then but now he grew some and wants the same deal?? Pac should just take the 45% and make Mayweather pay for all the yapping.
i agree buck, i think during his retirement, mayweather grew to despise Manny, maybe because he thinks he's cheating, maybe because he was jealous because of his success, or maybe because he just didn't think he was that good as people would give him credit for. The only thing i can say i believe is that Mayweather came back to fight pacquiao at some point, smoking deal is and understatement, mayweather played nice during the 1st negotiations because he had too he knew he wasn't in the driver's seat.
