Floyd talks ****. This is what people do. He doesn't HONESTLY think Pac is an easy fight. He doesn't underestimate anyone. ALways trains his ass off. It all comes down to the face he thinks Pac is on roids. Why do people not mention this. It's not a "crusade to clean up the sport" and all this ****, HE THINKS PAC IS JUICING AND WON'T FIGHT HIM WITHOUT KNOWING HE ISN'T. Period.
What i have a problem with is Floyd fans who basically say that Pac an easy fight fight but they still cry over OST.
Either Floyd sees Pac as tough opponent and wants to make sure Pac doesn't have a PED advantage.
or
Floyd sees Pac as easy work and demands OST just to say "my sport is clean!".

You have argued your point well. Since you only want intelligent answers, here is my intelligent answer for you. Do some research (or go to HBO or You Tube's website and watch the documentary) on a 1983 fight between Billy Collins, an up-and-coming undefeated welterweight and a journeyman named Luis Resto who had 8 defeats on his record at the time of their fight. If you look at what happened in that fight, you will see the effects of cheating against a top quality fighter who probably would have won the match by knockout. Read the story of Billy Collins and think about how that same thing could have happened to Shane Mosley if ****m Richardson had not discovered the plaster in Margarito's gloves. If you look at that with an open mind, you would know why Floyd wants the random drug tests up to the day of the fight.Comment

fightfan, your post is a solid, respectful one that warrants a respectful reply. I think it's sad people seek to discredit Pacquiao's wins by downing his opponents. I thought both Oscar and Cotto would beat him but what do I know? He gets full credit from me, especially the Cotto victory and the manner in which it was done. There is no questioning Pac's skills - he is a true ATG.
I also think it's sad people have to debate against the dumb arguments of d*ckriders to boost their own. No need, Pac's accomplishments stand on their own just fine, regardless of what they say.
So with that said, I ask that you place yourself in Mayweather's shoes. Everyone claimed you were all about the money and not seeking challenges. You agreed to a 50/50 split. Gloves. Weight penalty. But the one thing you requested was spat on, ridiculed and ultimately tossed to the side. A mediator was brought in and you tried to compromise. Instead, the other side laughs at your compromise and makes another fight the next day. Then they go further to mock you by saying that you have no intentions of fighting the only other viable threat out there and the fighter himself (Manny) says you're going to lose to that threat. Furious, you take your compromise off the table and declare that next time, negotiations will take place on different terms.
So what happens? You implement full testing in your next fight and win in dominating fashion against the guy you were avoiding forever. Now you have all the leverage. And a precedent with regards to the testing has been set. Guess who comes crawling back? How does Manny look now to Floyd? If he thought the guy was juicing before, he's convinced now. I too hope this fight will happen. But don't be surprised if it doesn't. And based on the series of events, I think we know where to point the finger.
And to place myself (Manny so to speak) in Floyd's shoes......I definately agree that the "accused" party definately LOOKS MORE SU****IOUS....taking him up on the "last ditch effort to have a fight" (14 Days).....but here is the thing...I know that "Money" is just a character created to generate hype and $$$....but the comments that Floyd makes (see original post) also warrant some kind of resistance from Team Pacquiao....seeing as he has never failed a test....blah blah blah...we know.....
In the end....in my opinion...negotiations went public too fast and too soon....TR (Arum) shot off the starting line and NO ONE ever called him back for a "flase start".....
This is one of the few Sporting Events period that I truly hope comes to fruition.....(Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior was another one)

But.....in hindsight.....Manny was the one looking for an out.....
Dec '09 - Mar. '10 WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME for Team Pacquiao to prepare for Floyd.....especially with Manny's political career coming up.
Floyd...thee BEST BOXER of our generation....Roach knows this...Manny knows this....not enough time to PROPERLY promote the fight....(only 2 stops NY/LA).....but for whatever reason...."Blood testing to close to the fight will weaken me" was the best Manny could come up with.....Comment

LOL. You're going to run out of questions soon.
Floyd proposed a 14-day cutoff right before the two sat with the mediator. At the time, they felt this was a reasonable cutoff to their initial request to follow USADA protocol of unnannounced testing leading up to the fight. Manny wanted a 30 day-cut off for blood testing. Manny refused to go below 24 days and walked away from the negotiating table, even after Floyd issued a statement saying that he STILL wanted to fight Pacquiao and was still holding out hope that Manny would agree to the compromise. Manny responded by announcing his next fight and reiterating his position that anything beyond 24 days would weaken him. Floyd says eff you, snatches up his comprimise off the table and signs to fight the one guy he was thought to be avoiding. Both agree to full-testing and Floyd dominates and generates a higher pay-per-view number then Manny has done for ANY fight. Guess who comes running back? But if Floyd really wants to fight, he'll just agree to Manny's compromise now, right? Well guess what? Floyd agreed to all of Manny's requests last time and Manny turned down his. There is no sound reason for not taking the full testing. So why should we give him a pass this second time when he just put us through the wringer about 14-days being too much the first go-around?Comment

The only thing stopping this fight from happening is Full OST acceptance from PAC.
A 60/40 split in Floyds favor can't be deneid (I don't care who your routing for the prove is in the numbers)..Comment

Floyds insistence on mosley taking the tests as well may have convinced pac that floyd and his team were not just targeting him and may have contributed to him changing his mind. Anyway it looks like he is willing to be tested so i dont see the problem now, the fight should be on, no excuses for either side now imo
Im not up to date but i cant believe that no blood was taken from floyd and mosley up to 18 days before the fight!!!! What! After all that fuss tellling us blood testing was vital and it turns out the urine test is better suited?? Cant believe that if it true, what a jokeComment
