The comparison is about their walk forward approach and toughness.

Floyd couldnt just pot shot Marg as he would walk right through those punches. Floyd would have to be moving away constantly.
It would be a hrad nights work to deal with such a big monster like marg.

But i dont know about Floyd ducking him or watever. Floyd would UD Marg, but he probably prefered smaller, bigger pay days.

I see your point but what people dont understand about any sport is that if you are not making shots, getting positive yards, getting at least base hits, then frustration sets in.

In sports if you are playing basketball, as long as you are scoring you can run up and down the court all day long, the minute you are cold and cant buy a bucket, mentally you start to fatigue etc.

MARGARITO even with that come forward mentality could only do that for so long before the jab to the stomach, left hooks, and straight rights started to do what they were meant to do. And let's face it when does floyd get tired?? His timing, speed, cardio, ringsmarts etc are all above margarito big time.

I just cant see margarito winning that fight, as hes mentally weak. I dont know what it is, but most mentally weak boxers resort to covering themselves in tattoos after loses etc. Or just stuff the are going through. MARGARITO, COTTO, HELL EVEN SHANE. People always talk about Arum when they talk about why Mayweather did not fight the fights he was suppose to I'm not buying it.May fought Hoya and Hatton made his Money seen the WW's were closing in on him(Marga's and Cotto both were there still)and he was out of Top Rank.He could have fought either of those fighters and dictated the terms.But the fact is he should have fought them after the Hatton fight.

If money moves everything in the sport we would have seen Mayweather-Pacquiao by now, Again Mayweather and Arum were not on good terms so how is the fight suppose to happen?

Open your mind, I also think the best time for Mayweather-cotto(Especially the cotto fight) to happen was right after Hatton but if Mayweather choose to retire who are we to tell him not to?

Fact is Mayweather ask for guarantees when he was still with Arum before he would get in the ring and sign an extension to his contract with Top ranks with fight (Margarito-8M, Cotto,Hatton-10M and De la hoya-20M) Arum didnt want to guarantee that much and Mayweather brought his contract out and made much more money fighting all those fighters except for the ones signed to Arum.....If you dont see a link in there (ARUM) then you need your head checked.

What's going on big dog.Fact is May could have fought those fight's if he wanted them because of the demand that was on those fights.Funny thing is those were his legacy fights more then any other because the fighters were prime and monsters at that time.Saying he had nothing left to prove was ridiculous IMO.

Dude for you to say May would have pot shot his way to victory vs Marga's is crazy.Marga's is taller then JLC and covers more ground.Mayweather has nothing to make Marga's stop coming forward.Marga's throws so many punches some would have gotten threw.Let's not forget about the plaster they would have hardened.I think Mayweather knew Marga's would be a problem and did not want any.Same with Cotto although I think he has a easier night of work.Marga's would not have been a easy night of work for May.

You act as if floyd gets tired or something, it would have been an easy night, cotto has endurance issues, so after he slowed down marg kept coming.
