Now there are some who say that we still dont know if Margarito had the wraps for this fight or whatever but lets just assume he did for the sake of this argument. Some think he still has a very good chin & pretty good power even without the wraps. So officially, who do you think wouldve won without the loaded gloves? Both guys were near there prime at the time

If he did in fact load his gloves I would have to pick Cotto. But loaded gloves or not Margarito took everything Cotto had and kept coming with the pressure .Loaded gloves can't help there. So there is a chance that Cotto still would have run out of gas and lost.

If he didn't use the wraps (I believe he did) I think that Cotto would have withstood his attack more. I think that Cotto would have been more durable in the fight, and wouldn't have broken down if Marg didn't have that ****. I think Cotto would have outboxed Marg like in the beggining of the fight and won a Ud. Nevertheless, he would have still been hurt because Marg was taxing his ass with those nasty uppercuts. Thus, I think that Cotto would have won that fight.

I just want to point out thought that Pacquiao would beat Cotto any day. So 4 those of you using the marg damaged Cotto excuse and that's the only reason pac beat him stfu

Or he has morals/standards as a man and doesn't want to give a cheater like Margarito a payday. Right now Miguel is a huge name is the sport and fighting him is a privilege and reward. Miguel feels like he was wronged and is entitled to his opinion. I agree with him especially in the sport of boxing, where it is possible that Margarito took a part of his career from him and it might of not been legit. If I thought someone cheated me I wouldn't look at him, speak of him, and I certainly wouldn't give him a chance to earn millions on my name.

Or Cotto is just scared period. He couldn't turn down the rematch initially because he had no excuse and would look like a complete coward after the quit job he pulled in the first fight. Margarito has already told Cotto to quit bitching and step into the ring if he's so pissed about what may or may not have happened. Hiding behind the excuse of not wanting to give Margarito a payday is really weak for avoiding a rematch especially if you actually believed he kicked your ass while cheating.

Margarito already has a huge fanbase so he doesn't need Cotto. Chances are good that he'll be fighting for millions against Pacquiao later in the year.

Agreed pac would beat a pre Margarito Cotto but the fact is Pac still fought a damaged Cotto at a catchweight. and if that Cotto-margarito fight went to the cards I believe Cotto would have won a SD
