Marg is not a power puncher, he's a volume puncher that breaks you down with relentless pressure.
Breaking Cotto's nose early sends me a big red flag.

Everything about that fight is suspect except Cotto's crisp clean punches and Marg's iron chin. Like I said, Marg's relentless pressure could've broken Cotto down without the plaster, but then again if Cotto wouldn't have taken such heavy damage from the plaster he might've had the stamina to go the entire 12 rounds the way he fought the first 7.
He broke Cotto's nose in the second round and it takes a while for plaster to harden, so your point is moot.

How ever Margarito's hands were, Cotto was outboxing him handly early in the bout. And Margarito wore him down. If Cotto had better conditioning he still would have boxed his way to a decision. And however Margarito hands were wrapped, we should assume there were the same for his bouts with Clottey and Paul Williams too. They stood up to the pressure and punishment.

You mean 15-20 minutes is not long enough for Plaster to harden?

That's about how long it took to get from the dressing room to the ring.

That's assuming Capetillo put the plaster in Marg's wraps right before the ring walk.

If you add in warm-up time, plus the ring walk and then the ring announcements, plus another 2 minutes for the first round, Marg waving his arms all the while which is making it dry faster, I think there's plenty of room for me to suspect that the plaster had hardened by round 2.

Marg just didn't land any solid combinations until the 8th when Cotto was slowing down.

Even if Marg had plaster in that fight they weren't helping him land uppercuts. Cotto did a lot of things wrong in that fight.

I don't know where I stand on the plaster thing anymore. It might have been blown out of proportion.

Because of body shots?? Because Cotto's punches had no effect on Tony?? Because Cotto didn't clinch for jack ****?? Because Cotto isn't the best boxer when it comes to stamina??

I hate it when people leave **** out. Denial at its finest!!

You left out the plaster making all those body shots that much harder.

Denial is not just a river an Africa.

Some think he still has a very good chin & pretty good power even without the wraps. So officially, who do you think wouldve won without the loaded gloves? Both guys were near there prime at the time

                loaded gloves or no....Margarito.........
