Boxing takes 2nd spot to me. The 1st should be cycling ala Le Tour De France where those thin wire bikers conquer the rolling hills...then up and down a sky high mountain for 3-5 hours non-stop! I could only imagine the torture they put on their legs. Just ask Lance Armstrong. And 3rd, Marathon.
Which sport is physically the MOST hardest?

Boxing, EASILY.
Getting hit....working every part of your body.....dealing with the TENSION that takes so much out of you.
Nothing compares to boxing.
Bike racing & marathoning, guys ? LMAO......you've obviously never boxed. No ****in' way you'd say those other two if you had.Comment

Not if you are fighting 4 rounders, I believe triathlon athletes and cyclers who do the tour de france is probably the hardest. All of the uphill miles they have to do is insane.Comment

Boxing and football. Nothing else compares to these two, I'm sorry.
Look at a veteran boxer's face like Hopkins and try to tell me that that kind of damage can be inflicted in any other sport. I agree that other sports are physically challenging but challenging and damanging are two separate things.
As for football, well look at how many football players die in their 40s and 50s (most recently Reggie White) and you'll have a good idea as to what punishment those guys take.Comment

Depends on how you interpret the question, I guess. I was thinking he meant which sports are the toughest on you, not the most challenging in terms of difficulty. Long-distance running and cycling would definitely be up there then.Originally posted by spinksjinxNot if you are fighting 4 rounders, I believe triathlon athletes and cyclers who do the tour de france is probably the hardest. Perhaps what Hopkins did to Joppy could be used as a better example. His face was swollen to epic porportions.Comment
