the thing i don't understand is that why does froch he think he would have a decision in the kessler fight in nottingham.....that would have been a scandal.....he lost by 3-4 rounds in that fight.....if he pulls out then.....then let bute come in.....who is froch gonna fight then with everyone in the super 6...

funnny how his decision win over dirrel was by far the most controversial one, yet he claims all the decisions have been horrible (BTW this is coming from someon who thought he won that decision because you cant go to the champs hometown and take the belt away with that sorry ass performance that dirrel showed)

He doesn't have to. A refusal to have the fight is exactly the same thing as pulling out, because Showtime are not going to give them both a bye or points or anything if they are unable to come to an arrangement.
You know better then to say because the media reported it there must have been an agreement. Its pretty ovbious at this point that there is no offical agreement or else we would have seen some offical papers by now. The way I see it its either neutral or whoever can put up enough money to make the trip worth it for the other.

havent read about that anywhere, panda has read that showtime's contract for the super six indicates the place of the fight is to be determined by where it makes most financial sense

froch doesnt draw flies anywhere except for nottingham and hed be lucky to draw 8000 people there. abraham draws 20.000-30.000 people in germany thats why hennessy indicated froch is being stubborn about this because he knows they wont make near as much in the UK.

dude read this article: " I won't be going anywhere east of Nottingham to face Abraham and it won't be in Showtime's interests for me to pull out" , Froch said.

After Froch-Kessler was set, there was an incident where they moved the fight back one week and tried to have it in Herning rather than Copenhagen. There was a dispute over this, but it was settled and Froch agreed to fight there. Very soon after this, it was revealed that Froch-AA would happen in the UK due to an agreement between Froch's team and Kalle Sauerland.

There was a lot of reporting of and discussion about this on boxing websites. Not once did anyone ever disagree with the reports, and they were in fact confirmed by Froch's people.

Then only a few days after Kessler-Froch, Sauerland came out and said that the story was untrue.

I don't think people should believe everything they read in the media, but the timing of Sauerland's denial should be su****ious to everyone. IMO the most likely course of events is that there was a verbal agreement, and that Sauerland took advantage of the fact that Hennessey was too ****** to get a written contract to renege upon the deal once it was too late for Hennessey to do anything about it.

Hennessey was ******, Sauerland was deceitful. I personally wouldn't want to go and fight in the backyard of a promoter who has already shown himself to be a lying sack of ****, so Froch's position is 100% legit IMO so long as he is willing to fight on neutral ground.

I think that's open to interpretation. It could easily mean that he'd be willing to fight west of Nottingham ie. USA.

Froch also publicly stated that he would be willing to go to Germany if the payday was higher.

doesnt matter, boxing is scored by rounds.

if dirrel won 7 rounds and ran the other 5 without throwing one punch then he still won the fight 7-5

                it is sheer mathematics

Clegg's right, there were reports a verbal agreement had been in place for the fight to be staged in England, but because of Hennesey's ignorance, Sauerland has decided to bring his influence onboard to renegotiate the fight and take it to Berlin.

so lets get this straight, first you say , you "might" retire if you lose, which means absolutely nothing. I might jerk off in a couple hours, doesn't mean its gonna happen , so why bother mentioning it. and second, you admit that the home decisions have been bad, yet so far this tourney your decision over dirrell is by far the worst and most un deserved, kessler beat you, a couple of the scores could have been a round or two closer but hethe decision was the right one where as your decision over dirrell was a draw at best.
