why the hell is manny accepting 14 days when that offer has been long gone already???

Exact same situation. Perfect analogy.what is the point in making a compromise to get a deal done by a deadline to only offer the same deal months later after the deadline.
floyd always wanted up to the fight, he bent to 14 days which was more than fair and he was rejected. Now the midget wants to come back to the table and pick up where they left off. This is a new deal and that deal is long gone.
That's like me going to Walmart on black friday and seeing a HDTV 3D 55In for $1100 and i come back on New Years Eve and see that the TV is now $2,000. Then i complain that I want the Black friday deal....well that deal is gone BUDDY!Comment

I have no problem with the 14 days..But those of you saying that if Floyd is no longer willing to compromise on the offer, then he is ducking his way out..What did Pacquiao and his camp do two months ago? But whatever they need to do to make the fight happen, i'm all for it..Comment

I missed your post earlier, Mack and it's a good one so I'll respond. So you've been watching a sport you love since who knows when and suddenly OST is more important than a mega fight? Ive watched many a fight and enjoyed them where no OST was done and I'll continue to do so. To claim a non commissioned test is more important than seeing the 2 best fighters of this era is silly.
It's not a question of either/or. There can be a big fight with OST. And if a fighter has an issue with OST...HELL YEAH THAT'S MUTHAPHUKKIN IMPORTANT. In this era we're in? Very much so. And if his actions are shady enough (as in this case), then I completely understand another fighter's perspective (Floyd). We don't put our lives on the line--they do. And no one wants to compete against a cheater.Comment

To make it seem like Floyd is ducking..the media will turn this upside down quick and accuse Floyd of the fight not happening once again..my opinion tho is he calls his bluff and then we will see Team Pac and Bob Arum true colors..but its should be full ost and no other wayComment

The only reason why they keep making all of these Negotiation talks public is to put media pressure on Mayweather. Despite the fact that Mayweather already offered 14 days months ago, and despite the fact that him and Shane have already went through the entire testing procedure.
Can't trust anything from that lying ass camp. They'll do whatever they have to do to uphold Pacquiao's public image.
I'd just do 14 days to be honest. But the way Pacquiao's camp behaved and to some extent successfully demonized Mayweather asking for the tests during negotiations, I would not be surprised if he tells Pacquiao to **** off.Last edited by Biolink; 05-20-2010, 02:11 PM.Comment

True. Floyd might get killed in the ring. Pac needs to be prevented from taking PEDs at all costs. To make it seem like Floyd is ducking..the media will turn this upside down quick and accuse Floyd of the fight not happening once again..my opinion tho is he calls his bluff and then we will see Team Pac and Bob Arum true colors..but its should be full ost and no other way
Haha... how can this idiocy be happening?
Hiding PEDs in itself requires superhuman qualities. How many idiots are these?Comment

I think its possible Manny feels Floyd is the one trying to get an advantage in this situation. We've seen Floyd try to get an advantage in past fights same as we've seen Manny do it. I just don't see the Manny should accept what Floyd wants or he's guilty argument. If Manny was a nobody and refused a mega fight because of tests I see the argument, but Manny is a superstar in his own right. The main problem I have with Floyds team is that they put comments out there about Manny cheating and now casual fight fans think boxing is corrupt. They in no way helped the sport with those accusations and I think it may also play into Manny reasoning for refusing the tests. I also have some leniency towards Pac and his team because I feel Mannys reward for taking the tests is an ass whipping and then people are gonna say its because he wasn't roided. He's really in a no win situation when it comes to proving hes clean unless he takes the tests and win which I dont think is very likely.I missed your post earlier, Mack and it's a good one so I'll respond.

So basically, its Floyd's way or now way right? Meaning there is no compromise on Floyd's part, meaning, the fight isn't going to happen because of Floyd.
Look, it was Floyd clamouring for the fight to begin with. He was the one throwing Manny's name around in interviews basically calling him out. But he wants it his way. **** that. Floyd wants the fight, he has to compromise. If not, then **** it. The world thinks its his fault this **** aint going down anyway. Enough of the BS.
In your world, maybe. Not in mine. And who turned down the 14 days months ago? You couldn't be objective on this topic if your life depended on it. It's funny how you get so pissed with Floyd not bending over for Pacquiao but you don't mind Pacquiao's demands at all.Last edited by Calilloyd; 05-20-2010, 02:53 PM.Comment
