Berto is in a tough spot. Neither Mayweather or Pacquiao is going to fight him, because he poses too much risk (relatively small for both, but still, there's risk) and little to no reward. Pacquiao is going to fight Margarito and we'll see what PBF does (I don't think they're fighting each other...ever), but I would bet against seeing PBF-Berto (though I think PBF wins a shutout there).

If Berto does get a Mosley fight (still would be WW unification, by the way), I think he can win, but critics will say he fought a past-prime fighter coming off a dominating loss.

About the only thing Berto can do is rematch Collazo and then try to get a Paul Williams fight. THAT would be fun, but I'm still waaaaaaaaaaay skeptical on Williams ever making 147 again.

He also could try to get a Cotto fight if Miguel beats Foreman.

Actually Wax. You might be on to something with Clottey and Cotto(Paul is only barely in the conversation to me until he fights at WW again I wont rate him to high in WW match up considerations). I think Clottey and Cotto are viable options for Berto, but I wouldn't mind him taking Jan Zavec's IBF strap. I dont think that Andre could comfortably get down to 140, it'd be nice but I think he's a solid WW as it is.

Feel kinda bad 4 Berto. He's a champ at 147 but who's he gonna fight??? Mayweather? No way! Pacquiao? Not a chance! Another 1 of the top Jr. Welters? Idk, maybe but what will that do? Kid is in a rough spot. He spoke about Paul Williams but he's a different story, Paul is 2 tall for these guys. You can say its an excuse but if im 5'7, do you think im gonna really look 2 fight a guy 6'2??? And its not like its a fight that will break the bank either. If Cotto wins vs Foreman, he can probably drop back down to 147, assuming he hasn't said goodbye to the Welterweight division for good. But I doubt that will happen. If Berto was Top Rank it would. Lol. Matter of fact, if he was under Arum, Cotto and he would be fighting right now, instead of Cotto moving up 2 fight Foreman.

Paul Williams should fight at 154. there are some good fights for him there. A Margarito rematch, Cotto is there, Angulo is there, Clottey will be there, they say Collazo is moving up there and of course Martinez. I wish people would stop mentioning him as a welterweight, he has not fought that low in a long time, he says he can get down there easily but he is older and has not had to in a while. He might as well forgoet the idea of fighting Mayweather or Pacquiao it won't happen. Is P-Will even that good?

              Berto should fight Guzman

I thought louie collazo couldn't make the 147 pd limit anymore?? right shut the **** up with that old BS. haters kill me, my man beat a more proven fighter than collazo(who happens to be puerto rican) and he still catches beef?? Some people just will never be satisfied with life itself. Sometimes you need to take a break and review your body of work, Collazo is a dam good fighter, but i don't see him calling out berto anymore- berto is unproven, yada yada yada. Dude is coming into his own, and soon he will be fighting the elite, i want berto / devon alexander matchup myself, i think that would be a pretty good scrap. -

Why would he??? He beat Collazo already. It was a close fight, a good 1 too but I thought Berto did enough in the end 2 get the decision. Besides aint no money in that fight and he won't get much props for beating him again. I think he should just fight Mosley and take his title. After seeing Shane vs Floyd, Berto should just finish him off. Mosley is done!! Not cuz Floyd whipped his ass, I knew he would. Im saying he's done cuz he gassed out after 2 rounds.

He's not going to get a fight with an elite WW, so he'll stay inactive until his mandatory is due.

Cotto, Clottey, and Mosley are the only remotely "big" possible matchups for him and that's dreaming a bit.
