It's just that to me their fights are boring because the opponents make no attempt to win the fights. I don't really blame the Klits, especially not Vitali.

People want this Haye fight cause they think it will be exciting. Maybe more exciting than the Johnson or Chambers fights but by how much? David Haye, if ever faced with a Klitschko, is gonna spend the whole night retreating and fighting off his back foot hoping to land one big punch. The Klitschkos just scare people away from taking any chances against them, Haye would be one of the more easily deterred.

Briggs is a guy who would be dangerous to most everyone even today. I think he is too far gone at this point to be a threat to Wlad but any normal size heavyweight without a decent jab could lose to Briggs on any given night.

I'd love to see Briggs in there with Haye. Haye has no jab and would be forced to beat Briggs at his own game before he gassed out himself.
I never associated Vitali with boring fights. I first became a VK fan with his fights against Lennox and Corrie Sanders, both total slugfests. Wlad does have a tendency to be too cautious in spots so I can accept that criticism, though I like watching Wlad fight anyway (except for the Sultan fight, which pretty much stank, but so did Lennox vs Tua -- it happens).

Vitali's main problem since his comeback is his utter domination of everybody.

He has barely lost a round in the last few fights.

A nice problem to have. I did think his win over Arreola was a virtuoso performance and not at all boring, though.

As for Briggs, after he was humiliated by Sultan, I gave up on him totally.
        He's over.

And he also has been caught using steroids, to no-one's surprise.

I'm not saying Sosnowski is doing the same, but he does train with Pudzianowski.

Yeah, it's the opponents who are fault too - no doubt. It's easy for some of us to sit here and say someone should go all out to win when it's not us in there being hit with heavy punches. But even still, it's one of the problems. That version of Briggs who gave it his all against Lewis and went out on his shield is the sort of fighing mentality that some of us are looking for and not getting with these Klitschko opponents. It does take two to tango in these fights. I guess the Klitschkos could mix it up a bit and throw some more brutal shots though.

Yeah, the real problem with Wlad is he takes about 3 rounds too long to realize when his opponent is ready to go. That being said at least he gets around to taking them out unlike Mayweather.

We saw in the last round of the Chambers fight how good he can look when he lets his hands go at will. You have to wonder if Chambers would have even lasted 2 rounds against the Wlad that beat Mercer.

I can see why he would be hesitant though, when your opponent has run around for 6 runs and hasnt thrown many punches and you are already up 6-0 it just doesn't pay to do something foolish. I think Wlad is such a cerebral fighter that he oftentimes assumes other fighters take a cerebral approach as well. In this sense I think he worries about opponents setting traps for him late in fights when in reality his opponents are just thinking "God I want to see my family again, how many more rounds are left?"

I already have more respect for this guy than the fat yanks who fought Klitschko. Taht's how a real HW titlist should look like, not like an overweight retired football player.

Contrary to Fateolla or Chambers, this guy trained hard and got himself in shape for the fight of his life.
