If Vitali's name was David Haye or Floyd Mayweather, this fight would be ripped to shreds by everybody, fans and boxing writers.

    This is like Creed-Balboa I, a hand-picked no-hoper. But this isn't Hollywood.

It's just that to me their fights are boring because the opponents make no attempt to win the fights. I don't really blame the Klits, especially not Vitali.

People want this Haye fight cause they think it will be exciting. Maybe more exciting than the Johnson or Chambers fights but by how much? David Haye, if ever faced with a Klitschko, is gonna spend the whole night retreating and fighting off his back foot hoping to land one big punch. The Klitschkos just scare people away from taking any chances against them, Haye would be one of the more easily deterred.

Briggs is a guy who would be dangerous to most everyone even today. I think he is too far gone at this point to be a threat to Wlad but any normal size heavyweight without a decent jab could lose to Briggs on any given night.

I'd love to see Briggs in there with Haye. Haye has no jab and would be forced to beat Briggs at his own game before he gassed out himself.
They don't really take chances themselves either...............

We saw in the last round of the Chambers fight how good he can look when he lets his hands go at will. You have to wonder if Chambers would have even lasted 2 rounds against the Wlad that beat Mercer.

I can see why he would be hesitant though, when your opponent has run around for 6 runs and hasnt thrown many punches and you are already up 6-0 it just doesn't pay to do something foolish. I think Wlad is such a cerebral fighter that he oftentimes assumes other fighters take a cerebral approach as well. In this sense I think he worries about opponents setting traps for him late in fights when in reality his opponents are just thinking "God I want to see my family again, how many more rounds are left?"
you can see why Wlad was hesitant against Chambers ???
          Good for you, I can't
Wlad openly said after the fight that Chambers had no power, yet he fought him like he was about to land a missile like straight power punch much like Sanders did

Wlad fights scared, even when he doesn't even have a threat in front of himself
when the KO FINALLY came in the last seconds, it was redemption
Redemption my ass, he should have taken him out of there in a couple of rounds

I don't think it's helpful to lump Wlad and Vitali together as if they were the same fighter. Vitali has always fought with aggression. He was hardly a shrinking violet against sluggers like Lennox and Corrie Sanders. The people he's fought lately haven't been able to mount much of a challenge, but that's not VK's fault.

At least Vitali fights often, instead of once a year like Haye.

His stance tells you that he is caution first. But he does have a more impetuous style than Wlad.
