I guess we will have to wait and see. I haven't been impressed from what I've seen of him but he is tough and Helenius still doesn't have the experience of many tough fights.Mark my words: Bertino is a real tough cookie. If he decides to train a little he'll give Helenius some problems. I don't think he is as bad as you make it look. He had a good fight in Russia against Icannotrememberhisnameski and made a good account of himself despite fighting with broken ribs (or at least a ribinjury).Comment

For real Helenius should win. I just think Bertino will make it look like a fight for some rounds.Comment

I used to follow the career of Anton Raa***, (if you remember him-not very far from Finland) whom I saw winning the European Amateur Middleweight Championships in Dublin Ireland, a very long time ago, but to me just almost like yesterday. I saw and met Laszlo Papp and Julius Torma at the same Championships.False statement that has absolutely no truth to it.
How am I negative about him? I'm only negative about his opponent, actually I'm realistic about him. Bertino's not very good and it's there for all to see which you cannot deny. He's not a very good fighter and that's all I said. Atleast you admit that Bertino is not a top opponent. I never claimed that Helenius should fight one.
I never said anything about Helenius at all. I think he's the best prospect "we" have had in years, even better than Asikainen, although he fights out of Sweden and lives in Germany so I won't claim that he's completely "ours". I'm not sure if he will go all the way but I imagine he will be the first boxer of Finnish descent to fight for the world title in 50 years since Olli Mäki challenged Davey Moore for the world featherweight title.
I think that Raa*** must have been the best Northern European fighter, he fought the world's very best on equal terms.Comment

It's not easy to prove because as American Pride said you are quite clever and subtle in the way you do it.
But this one isn't difficult to analyze.
What you did is you IGNORED the fact that Helenius has had a hand injury, to sneakily discredit him for fighting someone who is not a top 50 HW. That would have fooled most people (who don't know Helenius hasn't been sparring because of his hand and so it woudn't be wise to put him in with a top opponent right now) who might get the impression Robert is ducking top opposition. Bertino isn't as quite bad as you make him out to be either, he's actually a very good opponent FOR SOMEONE COMING BACK AFTER AN INJURY WHICH PREVENTED HIM FROM SPARRING.
Now, if Helenius hadn't had the injury, your comments wouldn't have been so unfair, because a healthy, sharp Helenius is fully capable of defeating many of the top 50 heavyweights.
But you pretended he's not coming off an injury which prevented him from sparring when you bitched about his upcoming opponent.
You're clever, but I got you this time.Comment

Raa*** was actually from Estonia but he was a very good fighter indeed, competing in a tough era. Fought everybody, including Jake LaMotta and Marcel Cerdan (whom he nearly stopped in the last round) and beat Georgie Abrams, whom I rate highly, although Abrams was at the end of his career at the time.I used to follow the career of Anton Raa***, (if you remember him-not very far from Finland) whom I saw winning the European Amateur Middleweight Championships in Dublin Ireland, a very long time ago, but to me just almost like yesterday. I think Battling Nelson will probably go down as the best North European fighter.Comment
