And, yes Pavlik is the perfect example.
He has a small fan base, but Floyd has proven he doesn't need an A-side boxer to sell over a million. Floyd can sell fights without a dance partner.

Floyd would make over 30 million fighting Martinez. Martinez is probably going to get a 80-20 or 85-15 split. Mosley got a 78-22 split against Floyd.

He still has every right to come in at 160 because he's the champ, the #1 fighter in his division, and Floyd is moving up to challenge for his belt.

Beating Martinez at 160 would look a lot better for his resume.

I'm telling you now, floyd is not fighting no bull**** fights. He is going for the best of the best. He would retire again before he fights a tune- up fight. Floyd is not Pacquiao! Floyd is beyond tune- up fights now. He will leave that up to the other guys. He fights Pacquiao or will upstage Pac again who will fight Margorito. I say Floyd fights Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez and last but not least maybe just maybe Berto but i doubt that. Cotto can get his ass taxed too.

Then have the maximum and minimum weight be the same for championship fights.

Because, the structure they have now leaves the door open for catch-weight title fights. And, they been doing it for years.

Why so angry? Calm down is not so serious.

Since Check hook brought it up.

If Cotto beats Foreman would he be an acceptable fight if Floyd and Arum can make a deal for it?

Lets not get carried away. Floyd vs Sergio wont do a mil. You have to remember that while Shane isn't a main PPV attraction he was a household name, very respected in the sport and was perceived to be Floyd's biggest threat and someone who he was allegedly ducking. Not to mention he is a partner of Golden Boy so with all of that they were able to create a real viable hype for the fight. With Sergio this won't be the case. Sure he is a great fighter but you need much more than that to do over a mill PPV wise.

He has every right. You are correct.

But in his latest interview he gladly forfeited all those rights. So I think thats a moot point now.

Floyd picking up the Lineal Middleweight Title is insane.

No way. I wish someone would entertain that thought seriously. Cotto would have to go and beat Pac and Margorito back to back convincingly before anyone in their right mind can view this as acceptable.
