People are going to say Floyd made a ***** move by making the champ come down to 155.

This is how I feel about the whole thing... a champ should be able to come in within the limit if another fighter is coming up in weight to fight for his belt. Floyd doesn't have to come in at 160 if he doesn't want to, but don't make the champ and the #1 in the division come down to 155 for his belt.

Martinez just wants to get paid. He said anywhere from 154 to 160 he'll fight him.
Yes but that doesn't matter to me. He still has every right to use those extra pounds as an advantage.

I have a feeling this will go down.

Martinez has a nice little fanbase.
        He'll take the tests.
He wont care about getting a short split.
The gloves, the ring, the weight, the venue Floyd can pick everything here.

I get your points. If Floyd was fighting Pavlik for the belts and had it at 155 I wouldnt support that because Pav cant make that weight.
Does Martinez have a nice little fanbase? I thought he his whole fanbase was here on boxingscene?

And, yes Pavlik is the perfect example.

          Exactly,

Allow Martinez come in at the limit. Mayweather can come in at 155. Regardless of anything, beating Martinez is a GREAT win. But if this goes down at a catchweight, I won't consider Mayweather a MW champ.

Hes making the rounds. Seems like Martinez is always doing something and seems to be getting a lot of love for it.

I think people would turn out to see him.

              I agree with you.

Martinez coming in at 160 would be disadvantage for him against Floyd. Let Martinez decide if he wants to come in at 155 or 160.

                Sergio already decided.

From here on out. To fight for the title you would have to make the weight limit.

The maximum and minimum would be the exact same weight. If Pac can't make 147 then he can't fight for the title go back down to 140. If Floyd or Martinez can't make 160 then fight at 154 for the WBC title.

The maximum weight and the minimum weight would be the exact same weight. But, only when the title is on the line. And, that would eliminate all these catchweight for titles that you guys don't like.

Because, right now anything from 135-140 is a JWW fight and it leaves the door open for a title fight at a catchweight.
Its wrong to restrict the champion from what he rightfully deserves.

It might be Cotto if he gets past Foreman.....Cotto brings $$$$$$......who else would bring the requisite dollars required to get Floyd to lace up????

Maybe Martinez at 154 or 60 if it is promoted right???
