Not an ATG but a HOF, imo.
I just don't see HOPKINS as an A.T.G.

I think his legacy doesn't measure up to an ATG. It's not that I don't think he could've been competitive in any Middleweight era. I mean stop to think about it. Tarver, Wright, and Pavlik are all good wins but they all never went on to accomplish anything and Hopkins didn't fight them at their best. Now the Trinidad win I have to give him props for because Trinidad was proven at 160 and 40-0 or something like that. The Glen Johnson fight is the most crowd pleasing version of Hopkins that I've watched and I give him props for that win as well because of the career that Johnson ended up having. Other than that, Hopkins career path just doesn't do it for me.Comment

I don't consider him an ATG, too many defenses against guys who were decent but not that good too many good fighter beaten who were smaller than him in addition to him losing generally when he fought someone his own size.
A skilled fighter and a HOF fighter but not an ATG in my view.Comment

He deliberately spun Echols and poleaxed him right in the back of his neck. Echols dropped as if he;d been shot. Hopkins was NOT disqualified, don't know why, but I'd never trust that ref again.People over here in Jersey **** on him, and we're basically philly where I live. People over here show more love to Roy Jones Jr then Hopkins. Its hard to like a dude who is known to be dirty, and its not just because of his age. If you seen his fights when he was younger he'd do **** like hit fighters on the back of the head and he still used that headbutting ****.Comment
