Is Benton still alive? If so that's pretty incredible he would be in his 80's.

Benton was a Philly fighter, perhaps that's why the Floyd defense is sometimes called "The Philly Shell defense".

After he he retired, Among the fighters he trained were Evander Holyfield, Mike McCallum, Meldrick Taylor, and Pernell Whitaker.
