      What made him good defensively?

Slip/roll punches, slick, stance or style related?

im glad that there are others who appreciate these styles of boxing. i think they are amazing, these fighters took it to another level. they understood the whole art, not just one aspect of it.

His footwork, he was light and quick with his feet. Also very good at picking off shots.

Jack Dempsey said of Johnson, “He was the greatest catcher of punches that ever lived (glove blocker). And he could fight all night. He was a combination of Jim Corbett and Louis. I’m glad I didn’t have to fight him.”

I have never seen that highlight video. I seen the whole fight but never HL. That was good stuff. Damn it is a shame that Ali lost 3 years of his prime. I think he would of been in his absolute peak during those 3 years.

Ali's destruction of Williams was an upset not Ali winning but Ali winning easily); Ali looked like **** in a lot of his previous fight. He almost lost against Sonny Banks.

I think the easiest fight you can find of him that shows the whole fight is against Frank Moran.

Everything else I have found is HL's and cut up pieces.

I thought Futch said he was the most complete (all around) fighter he saw.
