Marquez humiliates Katsidis. Not joking. Maruqez is too technical for a guy like Katsidis who walks in straight lines.

I think JMM would beat him if he's not totally shot. The big factor would be the inclination of Katsidis getting cut all the time like Gatti did. But he does handle it better than Juan Diaz, I must say.

Because he told the commission to let him fight Mayweather and keep his 135lb belt, of which Katsidis is the interim holder. Katsidis has been at Marquez since he became the interim champ which is way too long to hold a belt and not defend it against the interim holder.

Marquez needs to fight Katsidis or give up the belt to him. The problem is Marquez is getting more money elsewhere and the commission needs to grow nuts and make him fight Katsidis.

Katsidis a beast? Did anybody see the Diaz-Katsidis fight? Diaz schooled this guy despite the bull**** scores that fight was not close. I just don't see the "improvement" everyones talking about. He's a solid B-level pressure fighter who's chins been cracked by casamayor who never was a big puncher. JMM is a sure fire future HOFer why does he HAVE to fight this guy he brings no money no legacy no name. Diaz is a blatant attempt at a payday cuz the first fight was so good. JMM maybe has three fights left in him he's 36 going on 37. As a big Marquez fan I'd like to see him challenge one of the champs at 140. Sure he's too small and those guys are probably too big and fast. But if you're a Marquez fan that's what you love him cuz he challenges himself and always finds a way. win or loose he can cash out against Soto or Moralez or even better both. He has no obligation to give guys like this "a chance" **** that.

Khan would probably get first dibs on Marquez.

I think Kat has a chance just cause he is big and strong but if Kat doesn't finish Marquez early, expect a late KO from Marquez.

People say he looked fat at 142 (he weight in 148 on fight night against May not 142 and weighed in 141-142 against Pac)but I think Marquez can fight at 140 and do ok against some 140 pounders, if he comes in 137-138 and rehydrates to 141-143 I think he will be ok, I think Marquez could be competitive against Tim, Devon and Khan, now can he beat them, I honestly don't know anymore, but I'm sure he will get respect if he tried.
This is a very good post.

Marquez is NOT just a counter-puncher, he will not just feed off Kats mistakes. I would also expect a late KO in that fight.

Marquez is a great technician, but I think he would struggle against both Alexander and Bradley, at this stage of his career.

I can't for the life of me figure out why JMM didn't jump on nervy, untested, Khan, when he had the chance. I am not gonna comment on Nacho as a trainer, but he is a **** manager.

If ever you were gonna take a chance and go for a 4th divisional title, Khan was the weakest belt-holder. Aside from that, there is really only one big money fight out there for JMM. Come on Pac, JMM won't ask for tests

People need to get a grip.

Marquez proved that his courage was beyond question more than a decade ago.

He is nearly 37, he is a living legend, and he can do whatever the **** he wants.

Does Katsidis remember what happened when Joel Casamayor faught him?

Marquez is basically the same style as Casamayor but slightly less aggressive with a little more power.
