yea, and thats even MORE pathetic...

a guy who is 1-0 on the main card of a PPV...what a joke

imagine seeing a fighter in boxing on the main card of a PPV who is 1-0...whats worse is that they even hyped that fight too and it was one of their selling points.

i can name 3 fights that i know of where the fights have all ended in less than 10 seconds due to the very first punch being landed.

        irvin/alexander - 8 seconds
        lombard/silva - 6 seconds
        duffee/hague - 7 seconds

the same **** happens to top tier fighters as well

        mercer/sylvia - 9 seconds
arlovski/rogers - 22 seconds (lasted a whole 12 seconds longer than the usual duration)

in boxing, if someone like duffee KO'd his opponent in under 10seconds, it would be considered a decent performance, but wouldnt really mean much. in mma though, they put these guys on the main event slot and hype them as the next big coming (irvin got a shot at anderson silva after his 8 second fight, and todd duffee is being touted as the next great thing)

these guys ARE NOT professionals. they are idiot bar room brawlers and grapplers with glass chins who throw on a couple tap out shirts and think they are bad asses. boxers are 1000x the athletes and 1000x the professionals that mmgay fighters are

i know all this stuff because i used to be a moderate fan of the sport until i realized how gay it was. i still read up on it from time to time and hear about the current events for the sole purpose of owning mmgay fanboys with harsh facts.

the funny thing about mmgay is that the top tier guys play hot potato with their belt damn near every fight. the dumb fanboys play this off and say "its exciting" but its not. what it tells me is that even the top tier p4p guys are bums and lose on any given night.

-forrest beats rampage and takes his belt
-forrest LOSES the belt in his very next fight to rashad
-rashad LOSES the belt in his very next fight with machida
-machida wins (really lost) a controversial decision in his very next fight with shogun, and then in the rematch shogun KTFO's him
-shogun will probably lose his next fight with rampage or evans...and the cycle repeats itself. lol

there is no consistency ...all these guys have no heart...this guy beats that guy, that guy beats this guy, etc. etc....like i said, the fanboys will play this off and say "its exciting this way!" but in actuality, it just means that these guys cant fight and have no consistency.

king I wish you would go on the sherdog or the UG forums to own those MMA ******s. Every time I go there they try to say boxers aren't real fighters and can't stop a take down. It's pathetic. I follow MMA because it's a combat sport but mostly it's just entertainment to keep me busy till a boxing match.

UFC had one huge show last year that got 1.6 million buys because Brock Lesnar was fighting. Most people don't realize this is because Brock Lesnar brings over all his WWE fans and WWE is the top PPV seller in the world.

Here's what UFC's pathetic PPV buys have looked like over the course of the past year after the big Lesnar PPV event.

                  UFC 112: 500k buys
                  UFC 111: 770k
                  UFC 110: 215k
                  UFC 109: 275k
                  UFC 108: 300K
                  UFC 107: 620K
                  UFC 106: 375K
UFC 105: not announced, probably did about 300-400k max.
                  UFC 104: 500K
                  UFC 103: 375K
                  UFC 102: 435K

These are looking like Jones/Hopkins numbers

What a joke. Boxing is dominating UFC and making them its *****. Dana White is a fraud and his 2nd class sport has been exposed as a 2nd hands good store compared to the true elite sport of Boxing.

Here's some of boxing's numbers over the past year:

                  Pacquiao/Cotto: 1.4+ million
                  Pacquiao/Clottey: 700k
                  Pacquiao/Hatton: 900k - 1million

                  Mayweather/Mosley: 1.4 million
                  Mayweather/Marquez: 1 million

                  OWNED.
Dude, with all due respect, those numbers are nothing to sneeze at. They are averaging around 450,000 buys. Those are great numbers. Mayweather and Pac have skewed the PPV numbers for boxers, but no other fight in boxing over the last three years that didn't involve Mayweather or Pacquaio has done the type of numbers that UFC has done in that time period. That number, 450,000, used to be considered a very successful PPV show. I disagree with you assessment about boxing's resurgence because boxing was never dead or dying. However, UFC has carved out its own niche, and because Dana White doesn't pay his fighters worth a damn, he is probably making more in profits than both Arum and Golden Boy on his PPV shows.

Ah but those numbers ARE something to sneeze at. You see, UFC subsists entirely on PPV because they are one single entity/corporation and that's the only way they make money. Boxing on the other hand is associated with PPV mostly just through HBO, boxing worldwide with NON PPV bouts probably makes huge sums of money unrelated to ppv or HBO because there's boxing fights all over the world being staged on a daily basis that you don't even know about because boxing is not one singular entity controlled by one person like UFC is.

Thus boxing is owning UFC in PPV AND is still making countless millions more from regular bouts whereas UFC subsists SOLELY on PPV and needs that to be huge in order to stand a chance against boxing's numbers yet even AT THEIR OWN GAME of PPV UFC is now being owned and dominated by boxing. It's pathetic.

Secondly keep in mind UFC PPV's are always priced cheaper than boxing and so are the seats yet boxing still dominates UFC in both PPV AND life gates at arenas. Wow, sounds like UFC is boxing's ***** to me.

How are their PPV's much cheaper yet they still can't match even HALF the numbers boxing does? What a joke.
