I know :-) I was being sarcastic saying it's not a real title.. or I should say a recognized title

      1. Vdiary (Cooler) is a Klitschko FANATIC in the truest sense of the word.

      2. I don't like Greg Leon, but that article is SPOT ON.

Vitali has fought 3 times in almost 2 years since losing to Lewis, and after winning a (not the) title agaisnt CORRIE SANDERS, he's defended it once agaisnt Danny Willilms.

If he would have fought Maskiev, it would have been an absolute joke.

I am shocked and impressed that HBO (who are usually smoking Vitali's pole as hard as Torino and Vdiary) has made this move, but it is a great one.

IF Vitali insists on getting a fight in on Sept 24th before the obligated Mandatory defense, it should be agaisnt a top fighter. He's fought two garbage fighters back to back.

Lets hope this leads to the Toney fight getting signed.

It's a big money fight, and a good name. If he fights and beats Toney, Byrd, Brewster, or Ruiz, I will give him props.

Its not like thesae guys are so formidable they need to be avoided. And it's not like its too much to ask that the fighter that's being touted as the next Heavyweight Champion actually prove his worth by fighting the other top fighters out there and not fringe contenders.

I don't know why we need to go over this again and again.

"There’s no way I’m going to give up the WBC championship belt. July 23rd, the winner of Rahman-Barret fight will become my challenger against whom I’ll have to defend my championship belt. Many fans have waited a long time to see this fight, and it will happen." Vitali Klitschko 6/2/05

He said he will fight the winner of Rahman/Barrett and he said he will not give up the belt. Sounds to me like he will fight whoever the WBC wants him to fight.

I will take the words from the horses mouth rather than from what some schmuck Greg Leon has interpreted for me. Let's just see if Vitali holds true to his word.

Also, Bozo has already proven to have ulterior motives when posting about the Klitschko's. His objective is not to have a logical debate on the topic, it's to get on the nerves of Klitschko fans. His custom title proves that ("Klitschko Fanatic Police") and therefore his so called opinion is irrelevant.

Just like your opinion can't be taken seiously because of the milk overflowing from Vitali's TEET that gets mixed in with your words.

The bottom line is that Vitali wants to fight on Sept 24th, and if he does, people want to see him fight someone worth half a damn.

It is a fact that after a long layoff, fighters almost always come into the ring with some "ring rust." Because of this, I'm willing to give V.K. one warmup fight against a guy like Maskaev or whoever, before I start to question him too much... but if he doesn't fight a top-5 guy right after that, then I'll start to wonder why he's even still boxing.

If he had fought a legitimate fight in the last while, maybe, but he hasn't.

Toney came off an injury right into a title fight with Ruiz.

There is no one in the top 5 so formidable that Vitali can't fight them in the end of Sept. now that he's had 10 months rest.

Well, maybe he should jump right to Rahman... at his age Klitschko doesn't have alot of time to waste. Tactically, though, I could see why he might want a warm-up fight first.

Of course he should have fought someone like Rahman last year, instead of Danny Williams - that fight was just a waste of time.

WHAT THE **** happened to the winner of Rahman/Barret being Vitali's mandatory?

Again, the likes of a 38 year old Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams aren't anything more than warm up fights.

And with the size and strength disadvantage of guys like Byrd and Toney, they are not so formidable that they need to be avoided in place of more danny Williams-esque fighters.

He's the one who seems so dead set on fighting in Sept. I think if he's not going to fight a meaningful fight wait for early Nov and fight the winner of Rahman vs Barrett.
