Rahman says that he will be ready to face Klitschko on September 24th, following his debut with Barrett on August 13..

Problem is, what are the guarantees that Rahman will win the interim title shot?

Klitschko has been inactive far too long and sit there and wait for Barrett / Rahman another 6 month is ridiculous.. Therefore Klitschko wants to have an in-between fight on September the 24th and than defending his title later in the fall.

Yes if Klitchko takes a tune up fight I guess that would be ok. After his tune up he needs to fight somebody out there who actually has a pulse for a change. (No hand picked tomatoe cans like he is used to fighting) Try this one for a chance Klitchko, stop basking in the glow of losing to Lennox Lewis and make some fights that will gain the respect of us all. If you can beat Rahman then go do it. If you can beat Toney, Ruiz and Brewster then go do it. Oleg Maskaev, Goofy whitaker, Davarryl Williamson and these other hand picked guys who you will probably fight and wet the taste buds of all the Klitchko fans, do not gain the respect of the rest of the boxing community.

At least the one thing I can say about Klitchko is that he is not frightened of U.S. soil like some of the other European fighters who stay sheltered at home (Klitchko does earn some respect points for that). Guess what European fighters?? Klitchko and his brother touched U.S. soil and they didn't evaporate or catch on fire, contrary to popular belief!!! And they made big paycheckes while doing it imagine that!!! And they left their countries!!! The irony
