He's talking about getting married huh? I hope she cheats on him for Devon the Great so he'll be pissed enough to get his chicken ass in the ring. But even then, I'd doubt it.
I think Alexander should reach out to Berto's camp and forget about this clown. Then when Bradley moves up he'll have to fight Alexander if he wants any recognition because then he won't have any belts at all. I've said this a million times. But if this fight needs to be marinated then they need to headline a card together. This fight isn't gonna get any bigger with them beating up on bums on separate cards.
There's no guarantee that the winner of tommorrow night's fights are gonna fight them next on their scheduled TV dates. Things can happen. Cuts, injuries, you name it. Both Alexander and Bradley are healthy right now. So what's Timothy's problem?Comment

This is ridiculous, Bradley said we both need to fight a couple more fights before fighting each other to make a even bigger fight. So by Feb we could see these boys going at it. Bradley is obviously not scared of Alexander, he has chosen to fought harder fighters than you realize. Alexander got his belt from Urango, which Bradley gave up(meaning Alexander never beat the true champ), he got his other belt from someone who never won the belt. Peterson, Holt, Campbell, Witter(when he was the lineal champ), and scheduled to fight Maidana. Seriously this is ridiculous if there is anyone that hasn't ducked a fighter it is Bradley, he has chosen the hardest fights outside of Cherry.
Alexander is a paper champion man, he won a vacant belt and got a belt against someone who won a vacant title. Alexander has three names on his resume, Corely(anyone say old), Urango, and Witter. Seriously man, get off this guys jock. Bradley calls the shots, Bradley is the lineal champ, nothing else need be said.
Campbell was considered the harder fight when he chose to fight him. Campbell was far better known and would help him a lot more with the legacy he is trying to create. Sorry but Bradley is going to punk Alexander and then everyone is going to be upset he fought Alexander instead of Ortiz or whoever. Bradley deserves to get paid, plain and simple, why shouldn't he get paid? Higher risk, Higher reward? Come on with this BS.Comment

You're missing the point. The point is that he would not be offered anything like 150k if he fought Alexander now. He'd probably be offered over a million and would certainly be offered far more than 150k. So for him to bring up what he was offered by Showtime to fight Alexander when Alexander held no titles and had fought no contenders, and when both fighters were still with Showtime, as a reason for not fighting him now, when Alexander holds two titles and has had two great wins over top contenders, and when both fighters are with HBO, who pay a lot more than Showtime, is extremely dishonest. And anyone who thinks that is a valid reason for not fighting him now has simply been taken in by his dishonest sleight of hand, because Bradley would be offered very good money indeed if he fought Alexander now.Comment

It was true before Alexander had any wins against meaningful opponents, and when both fighters were with Showtime, but it's not true now. Now Alexander is a unified champion with two great wins against top 10 opponents, and both fighters are with HBO. Bradley is being extremely disingenious by bringing up what he was offered back then as it has absolutely no relevance to what he could make if he fought Alexander now. The fact that Bradley is being so dishonest makes me doubt his sincerity. Because of that, I think it's just a duck.Last edited by Calilloyd; 05-14-2010, 06:57 PM.Comment

"ducking?" Ducking is a word that is better suited to a schoolyard, or too WWF.
Very few, if any, knowledgable boxing writers use the term "ducking" anywhere near as freely as the posters on this site.
Ducking is what you do inside the ring, financial/tactical positioning is what occurs outside the ring.Comment
