I still don't think Bradley is ducking. In my opinion, I think he is trying to position for his largest payday possible, especially against the toughest opponent out there for him....Financially, (and I hate dwelling on money like this, Just fight) and realistically, to just be starting a new family (wedding) and to pay three sanctioning fees, and all those training expenses. I'm not mad that dude wants to get paid.

"But I give the edge to Nate because he's got that dog in him."

Yes Bradley....... Nate does have dog in him.

It was true before Alexander had any wins against meaningful opponents, and when both fighters were with Showtime, but it's not true now. Now Alexander is a unified champion with two great wins against top 10 opponents, and both fighters are with HBO. Bradley is being extremely disingenious by bringing up what he was offered back then as it has absolutely no relevance to what he could make if he fought Alexander now. The fact that Bradley is being so dishonest makes me doubt his sincerity. Because of that, I think it's just a duck.

Hbo would offer both fighters a mill or better, team bradley would turn it down.Timmy needs to admit the fact that he wants no parts of devon.

This guy has been in the ring with boxers, brawlers, and punchers. Why would he be scared of Devon?I believe him when he says he want to wait until the fight becomes bigger. Boxing is a business. It makes sense to me.

Fighters aren't scared of other fighters, but some of them are scared of losing. Alexander is a far bigger threat to Bradley's 0 then any fighter he has fought up to now. There is no guarantee that it would be a bigger fight if they fight tune-ups first, and the argument he made in the article about what he was offered to fight Alexander before Alexander had ever fought anyone is so dishonest that I can't take anything he says on the subject seriously.

                  Look at these 4fighters.

                  Alexander, Abregu, Maidana and Alexander.

He was signed to fight Abregu at WW.

                  Signed to fight Maidana.

Wants to fight Judah. A guy who hasnt been at 140 Pounds in 7 years? Alexander said live on the radios show last night that Juah said he wants some tune ups at 140 first. So whos left to fight.

Abregu at WW. A nobody with no strap

or Alexander the guy with two straps in his division.

Yet the guy with two belts. Gets left out? When he would be making the same money fighting the other guys why not go after the champ?
IMO Bradley wouldn't make any more money fighting Abregu, Judah and (possibly) Maidana at any time in the future, whereas the potential of Bradley/Alexander making more money later than now tends to be more certain. It doesn't make it great for us, but certainly it makes sense to them.

Perhaps if I could just offer you another perspective, I really don't see it as being dishonest (I choose to believe he is respectable) I see it rather as him trying to point out the real issue why the fight with Devon isn't happening yet... BECAUSE so many have been saying he is ducking him. I mean, the majority of people in this post state that "150k is bull**** for that fight" and now they understand why it isn't happening yet. Whereas before, many fans just called it a duck... and we all know, as we are being reminded time and time again, that this is a business first for the fighters/promoters. As much as we just want to see the right fights happen, it's sad that money is the determining factor of what we get these days.

if timmeh makes it big and devon makes it big, then we gonna run into the same **** as pac/floyd, 2 out of control egos that make the fight impossible to make. its gonna be the same bull**** as the hops/rjj rematch. a fight that everyone wanted 10 years ago.

its gonna be the same bull**** as floyd/mosley... floyd got to mosley too late in his career when they should've met when both were in their primes.

when timmeh finally decides to fight alexander, nobody will want to see it.

timmeh is better off just fighting alexander. if the first fight is awesome, for sure HBO will want a rematch and possibly a rubbermatch.

Rivalries are what boxing thrives on, but if you don't get trilogies from fighting tune ups.
