first time i heard about him when he beated antonio tarver and then johnson...the adamek win was impressive as well..

SMH at these clowns bashing Dawson.

He is just as good a defensive boxer as Floyd in my view and the over all more rounded fighter because he actually will throw in combination.

I guess he would be more popular if he wasn't a humble respectful family man and made a total ass of himself every time he went on camera without gloves on.

I'm looking forward to his fight with Pascal. It will be interesting how he deals with Jean's speed. Dawson seems to be a diamond in the rough.

However to gain any measure of support he has to fight more often.

But that doesn't seem to be his goal anyway. He seems to be more of the laid back under the radar guys. So he is not lame at all in my opinion.

He literally could have shut Johnson out in a rematch but Johnson got several gift rounds on the cards. Chad was standing right in front of him the whole time and Glen couldn't hit him, you would have an old shot argument if Glen did nothing after but he stopped a 10 opponent shortly after his boxing lesson.

The reason why he looked so good against Mack is because Mack has bad stamina and can't take a punch. Plus he could easily track him down eventually due to a small ring. I'm skeptical of whether Johnson would've lost as bad as he did if Dawson had to fight him in the ring that small too. I know it sounds biased, but I'm just being honest.

He was a little slower I will admit but Dawson just fought a smarter fight and used angles moving around Johnson right in front of him the whole fight hitting him with counters and combinations.

Its really impressive to me how a 190+ pound guy at what 6'2-6'3 can be such a hard target for an experienced fighter like Glenn to hit.

I gave Johnson the 12th round only in that fight, and even that really could have been debated.

Diaconu got injured in September 2007 when he was suppose to fight Dawson, correct. But Diaconu was still WBC mandatory and the WBC wanted the fight rescheduled. It was going to a purse bid and the fight would have taken place on March 2008. Dawson had the choice to fight Diaconu or Johnson, so Dawson made a deal with the WBC to fight Glen in April and Diaconu in the summer or fall (if he beat Glen).

Dawson did beat Glen but he did not keep his promise to fight Diaconu after that so he was stripped of the WBC belt. Had Dawson kept the WBC belt and just fought Diaconu, he wouldn't have gone through that messy negotiation with the IBF and Tarver.

Tarver was ranked higher, bigger name, and more money than Diaconu at the time. That is I said he went on to bigger and better things. And, Diaconu who pulled out the original. You making it seem like he ducked Diaconu which is not true.

Diaconu is a limited fighter who ended up getting schooled by Pascal twice.
