But, if Johnson legs are really gone like you say. Mack would of been good enough to beat him. The way Johnson fought that fight prove to me that he still has some left. Dawson is just on another level.

Johnson's legs were gone in that fight. He was able to get to Mack due to Mack's bad stamina and a small boxing ring. Atlas was talking about how far past it Johnson looked. This is why Cloud needs to dominate Johnson similar to what Dawson did albeit in more exciting fashion if he expects to get any credit.

He signed to Diaconu and then it was Diaconu who got injured and pulled out of the fight. That is not Dawson fault.

And, then when the fight was in talks again. Dawson went to bigger and better things.

Diaconu got injured in September 2007 when he was suppose to fight Dawson, correct. But Diaconu was still WBC mandatory and the WBC wanted the fight rescheduled. It was going to a purse bid and the fight would have taken place on March 2008. Dawson had the choice to fight Diaconu or Johnson, so Dawson made a deal with the WBC to fight Glen in April and Diaconu in the summer or fall (if he beat Glen).

Dawson did beat Glen but he did not keep his promise to fight Diaconu after that so he was stripped of the WBC belt. Had Dawson kept the WBC belt and just fought Diaconu, he wouldn't have gone through that messy negotiation with the IBF and Tarver.

He is just as good a defensive boxer as Floyd in my view and the over all more rounded fighter because he actually will throw in combination.

I guess he would be more popular if he wasn't a humble respectful family man and made a total ass of himself every time he went on camera without gloves on.

Just because he doesn't make an ass of himself in front of the camera, doesn't mean there is nothing wrong about him. We know how good Dawson is, but the problem is, he's too inactive.

You want rate Dawson in the P4P rankings, but how can you when Tomasz Adamek has accomplished a lot more then Dawson. Tomasz Adamek since losing to Dawson, his way more active and stepped up the plate everytime. I mean compare their resumes it's no contest. I'm not saying Dawson should be active as Adamek, but he really should be fighting more, even RJJ is more active then Dawson. Manny Pacquiao who is a megastar is more active then Dawson. Dawson knows what he's being criticized for, but he refuses to silence his critics. Most boxers if they were in Dawson's situation, would happily silence their critics. We'll see if he's really that good when he fights Pascal in August.
