look, you may be right that Floyd beats Williams, but you're wrong in how he's gonna do it.

You overrate Floyds speed because he's always picking slower older shot fighters to compare him against.

Mosley made his speed look average before he stopped punching. Martinez by k.o.

      No I don't.

martinez defense isn't the best, but that's when he has to slip 2-3 incoming punches.

Floyd at most will give him 1 or 2 punch combinations to avoid and in situations like that his defense and movement will definitely shine more, because it's much easiar to slip 1 punch than 2.. his defense will shine if he were to fight floyd.

Floyds always had a tougher night with southpaws, that's a given. And martinez would be the biggest and close to the fastest (zab is the fastest) that he has faced.

he'd also do things very unorthodox, and show floyd a few new angles that he may or may not have seen before. When partinez punches, though, his angles resemble pacmans a lot. He covers every angle and it's really a fun thing to look at when he gets off.

He moves in and out often, so the chances of him being countered by floyd become very slim because he's moving out as floyd is coming in to counter. FLoyd also likes to walk down southpaws, i havent ever seen him box with 1.

I dont see him walking down teh bigger martinez, and floyds version of the high guard (which is what he uses against southies) IMO plays into martinez's hands a bit more..because floyd always "squares up" against southies.

It's a good fight, and very winnable for martinez, who i think will win, given his style. he has a great straight left as well, which he doubles and even triples up on occasion. We've all seen Zab land his straight left, Chop Chop land his, etc. They didn't use it often though, martinez loves to throw it out here often.. and like i said, he triples and doubles it.

In floyds favor is obviously the incredible countering ability. Let's keep it real though, martinez isn't exactly there to be countered and floyd doesn't have the size, range, or power to really make them count on martinez IMO.

Martinez is always on his toes, and always circling left or right, never moving straight back or getting lazy on his feet after punching (ever notice floyds opponents seem to sit there for the counter, even after hit, they just shell up n clinch or act like wtf happened?)

The perpetual movement, angles, speed, workrate, size, and southpaw stance IMO give martinez a great chance in this fight.
These are really nice points but no is factoring in the fact that Martinez has never seen a fighter like Floyd or on Floyds level in his life. The smarts alone will be a different look for Martinez. This isnt Cintron, Paul and Pavlik here.

I actually have no idea how Floyd will beat Paul. Im just putting faith in Floyds smarts. Hes smart enough to find a way to beat him.

I'm not even a Floyd fan, I would root for Martinez.

                Floyd wins.

                  hahahaha

Lets just say Floyd have fought the tougher fighters. Seen more styles. Fught more more styles. Foght the better comp. Remember that thread I made about his padded record, now its much better but when Floyd gets these guys in the ring something happens to them. They all freeze up I dont think Martinez will be any different. Martinez is a good boxer, very good boxer but Floyd is just flat out better then him. I hope this comes off.

I think it's possible. I can see Mayweather shinning against an opponent like Martinez, I can also see Martinez pulling off an upset. Very hard to call.

It would be a great boxing match! Martinez footwork/angles vs Mayweather's speed/accuracy.

I can see Mayweather having trouble with Martinez southpaw stance, and movement.

yet, padded record and all, this statuesque god who looks like he as carved from the hand of Michelangelo himself was able to handle Cintron, Williams (arguably) and Pavlik.
