Larry is right on the "money".......

I think that LARRY is right on the "MONEY" with this one. Whether you guys like him or not, LARRY is very witty and knows his history when it comes to BOXING. FLOYD MAYWEATHER is a gifted fighter. I don't like him as a person but he is smart about who he chooses to fight, and when he chooses to fight them. He's durable, well conditioned, smart in the ring, fast. But....HE DOESN'T FIGHT THE BEST!!!!!!!! He knew MOSLEY was over the hill but it's MOSLEY's fought for getting in the ring. OSCAR only had 8rounds in him when they fought and on top of that, he had about 600million in the bank and just stopped trying to win. I think that he was on the right track when he was under ARUM at TOP RANK. He didn't get to choose who he fought and was tested often. Who said that the fight to be made is MANNY/FLOYD? WHY not FLOYD/MARTINEZ? Or FLOYD/BERTO? Or FLOYD/WILLIAMS? These are all challenging fights and he won't dominate any of these guys and that's a fact. There is a lot more to prove for him if he wants the challenge, otherwise, us REAL boxing fans will continue to say the same thing.....IF YOUR NOT GOING TO FIGHT THE BEST FIGHTERS AT THEIR PEAK, RETIRE!

tell me about it. you can be a fan of a fighter but these dudes go to far with it. just the thought of him losing 2 any1 is viewed as an insult and draws a massive outcry. he beat shane ok, cotto beat a better version of mosley and now if he beats sergio hes top 5 on the all time list? get the **** outta here. paul williams beat martinez. so how great does that make floyd?

I am a REAL FAN who grew up watching REAL fights so I think I am allowed to have my say. He's an ASS-HOLE on T.V. so that's what I go by because it's what I see. He doesn't know me either PERSONALLY. But i'm not an ASS-HOLE like he is. He doesn't want to give anyone props but himself. He's a REALLY negative fighter. If he was more HUMBLE, there's NO DOUBT he would be the most popular fighter in the world. CLASS is big in the sports world now a days and FLOYD doesn't have it.

Good thing I'm around boxing people who mostly feel the same way than biased ass fans with just a one sided opinion. Why arent you asking Manny why Floyd has to bend to his every request? Merchant is the biggest hater of em all. Flooyd didn't fight Tony BECAUSE ARUM COULDN'T GUARANTEE 10 MILLION FOR FUTURE FIGHTS. HE WAS MORE THAN WILLING TO TAK 8 TO FIGHT HIM BUT IT FALLS ON ARUM. Floyd then took the buyout that was only available then. And then went on to be a money making star. Hatton also won the wbc belt at WW so **** that noise about being small.

Merrchant is a *****. Go watch him hate on floyd even in the CORRALES FIGHT.

I hear alot of excuses from Floyd fans on why alot of fights was not made.But truth be told the great fighters always found away to make the fight that were suppose to happen.happen.Which is why his career will always be suspect I believe he needs Manny as much as manny needs him.

no doubt, i have no problem with each having their favorites, i love this sport


but people who are that biased it shows that they can not construct a good debate but that they just want to argue and talk ****

Rome my dude you know Manny isn't being fair. Floyd gave him what he asked for but when he made a request Team Pac succeeded in Making it seem like Floyd made unwarranted demands which isn't true. Where was the outrage when Manny made Cotto defend his own title at a catch-wt? There was very slim outrage but that was outrageous. That's where I am with this. Manny seems to get his way with everything now when a more successful fighter comes along he has a problem. Manny single handedly overstepped the WBC's rules and they made a special title for him to do it with. WBC Daimond belt. The only one not compromising here is Manny.
