Do you guys not know math?

And, Whitaker beat him. And, Whitaker passed his prime and Oscar was in his absolute peak.

Why do you think he never gave Whitaker a rematch. But, gave and old ass Chavez a rematch who he dominated the first time.
Whitaker arguably beat Oscar, and Oscar arguably beat Mosley in the rematch.

Oscar was fine, until he lost the weight to fight Forbes. He got busted up for the first time in his career, which is why Roach baited him into the fight with Pacquiao.

Oscar will out-jab him with his much larger reach and size. Oscar throws a better, faster, and stronger left hook. Both fighters have no right hand, so there will be no straight punches from Cotto landing. Both fighters gas late, but Oscar has a higher work-rate and better defense while he's on a full tank.
Cotto would land his left hook plenty. He'd take the fight to Oscar and win most of the middle rounds. Cotto is best against boxer/punchers like Oscar and Mosley. Cotto's left hook is a tad slower than Oscar's, but he has good timing from the outside. He's swift on his feet, so he can jump in and catch guys who are slow on their feet like Oscar with good shots.

Whitaker beat him.....i am convinced of that.....you don't win a fight in my book by throwing late flurries in the last 30 seconds and hitting nothing.

you were on a roll until that comment. Cotto's feet are stuck in quicksand, same as Oscars...that's why this fight would have been great....but i have to favour the guy with the better left hook and chin.

He arguably beat Shane at 154? And, who did Shane beat at 154 that made him any good their? A shot Vargas?

Oscar at least won titles from 130-160. Cotto had to fight journeyman and vacant titles. His first test was against Mosley. Then when he had to prove his mettle, he becomes automatically ruined. That is way more overrated than Oscar was.

              co sign.

              i agree....Cotto is also over-rated.....

The ring entrance weight is what is important. Both fighters entered the ring at their best weight.

irregardless i thought he beat him the second time....and this was a Mosley on EPO, The Clear, The Cream and Modanofil......

so i am slightly....ever so slightly impressed......not a fan of ODLH at all.

But, in the last 10 years he did **** bro. His best wins were Tito leftovers. He KO'd two guys who got their chin ruined by Tito.

Oscar great weapon the left hook only came out twice in the last 10 years. Once against Vargas and the other against Mayorga.

When people talk about the Oscar version of the last 10 years act like if he was the same Oscar from the 90's.

The only more overrated fighter in the last 10years than Oscar is Zab Judah.
You're right about that, that wasn't a prime Oscar. A prime Oscar could move beautifully, throw great combinations, he could box. But even when he lost all that, he still knew how to cut off the ring; still had alot going for him. For Cotto to have been able to compete with Oscar at 154, he would have needed either

                    1. Defense (Cotto lacks this)
                    2. The Athleticism
                    3. Or the natural size to compete there

                    Cotto has neither.
