Cotto wins a decision similar to the Mosley fight.

      Oscar would win.

It would be interesting to see in the first 6 rounds of the fight. It would go either way but after the 6th. Oscar would begin to take round after round as Cotto starts to gass. By the 8th round, Cotto will be completely on empty and will be avoiding. Oscar would continue his pressure behind his jab and take Cotto to the deep rounds and drown him.

      Oscar wins by UD.

Sorry but this ain't Mosley. Oscar at 154 is still decent enough to fight, his jab is still poisonous, even the version Floyd faught is still decent enough to win. Taller, longer reach, great jab, good left hook. Cotto would lose, even before he faught Margarito.

Which JMW version of Oscar are we talking about?

The 2001-2003 version or the 2006-2007 version?

How does Cotto (before Margarito ruined him with plaster) matchup against that version of Oscar? (not the lifeless drained version Pac fought who was only 147lbs)

          Cotto - 5'7" , 67" reach, 158lbs (his prime ring weight)

          Oscar - 5'10 1/2", 73" reach, 167lbs (LMW ring weight)

          Who wins?
floyd SAID he was 148 big difference...he would say he was 124 if he thought people and not just *****s would believe him

Oscar is one of the most overrated fighters in the last 10 years.

Oscar would win my opinion. Since Cotto does lack defense, he'd then need the power to get Oscar's respect, and I don't see Oscar giving him that. Then you have to factor in that Cotto is 5'7 and has a 67 reach. Oscar stops him in the mid to late rounds.

You mean underrated, no seriously, Oscar is freaking underrated. People forgot how good Oscar was in his prime, especially at LW to Jr WW. It bothers how people forget, and your over here saying "Overrated".

                No way man.

Overrated fighters don't win a close decision over Pernell Whitaker.

Cotto was dropped by Torres, stunned by Corley, Judah, and KTFO by a one-dimensional Margarito. How anyone can pick him over Oscar (who would have every advantage) at light-middleweight is incredible... I'm not saying Cotto is a bum, but he won't beat Oscar at 154 - certainly.

No Dom I agree in the 90's he was the ****. Maybe even underrated OK... Really good fighter in the 90's very elite I give you that.

But, in the last 10 years he did **** bro. His best wins were Tito leftovers. He KO'd two guys who got their chin ruined by Tito.

Oscar great weapon the left hook only came out twice in the last 10 years. Once against Vargas and the other against Mayorga.

When people talk about the Oscar version of the last 10 years act like if he was the same Oscar from the 90's.

The only more overrated fighter in the last 10years than Oscar is Zab Judah.
