Right, I get sick of this talk myself so im being a bit of a hypocrite here by making a thread, but I just wanna ask you guys something.
I always like to see PPV #1's be successful for any fighter, not just for the fighter but because it is good for the sport, if Manny vs Cotto or Floyd vs Mosley got 2 million buys I would be happy cause its good for the sport.
But I am starting to think that maybe if Floyd vs Mosley doesn't beat Manny vs Cotto, or if they are very close either way then it might be a good thing... cause then there will most likely be no purse split issue and it can go as 50/50 as agreed upon before, say if Manny vs Cotto beats Floyd vs Mosley by 100k buys or vise versa. I am not saying Floyd would definitley try to get greedy and ask for the lions share if his does significantly better, cause I think hes back to beat the big names and the same for Manny, but I am starting to think that if the PPV's are really close to one another then its could be a good thing cause at least it eliminates the chances of that ruining the fight, as good as impressive PPV #'s is good for the sport.
I mean lets face it here, 50/50 is fair regardless... the fight is huge, they are both the best fighters out there and the only way to decide who is better is if they fight each other, the fight is in so much public demand cause of both fighters, so 50/50 is fair.
Your thoughts?
