I guess he wants that big pay day, but honestly I haven't been that impressed.
Im not big Williams guy and i thought Martinez beat him, but if he can make 147 I have no problem with him fighting there. He moves up to get fights, but if he can make the weight i don't see the problem.

Paul Williams will be MW champion of the world.

      That is all.

i won't argue anybody for having williams in their p4p lists, but he's not a top 5 guy....
dawson is better than williams and dawson isnt that overated as williams is, why does hbo instead not try to hype dawson up instead of paul, less ****** embarassing victories for an hbo fighter will come out of this

Due for what? For losing to a 40 year old who had no legs regardless of what happened the second time? He takes so damn long to get back in the ring and that's why he shouldn't be in the top 3? He's good, don't get me wrong. But Dawson is where he's at because he doesn't fight often enough.

He's also fought four guys in a row ranked in the top five of their division. Say what you want about Phillips and Wright, but Winky was still in the top five at 160 I think. And Phillips had just beaten Spinks. The better names on his resume above 147 are Martinez and Cintron of course though.
hes staying active but he actively keeps looking like a fighter whose career is going nowhere and he looks like the luckiest fighter in boxing today, lucky hes american so he can get hbo to bail his ass out and hype his sorry ass to #3 which he doesnt deserve

Aside from Mayweather and Pacquiao, almost all the top fighters right now are either old fighters who are past prime or young fighters who haven't really proven themselves. That is how a relatively mediocre fighter like Williams gets ranked in the top 5. You look at him fight and he does not seem like he deserves to be ranked that high, but who is out there that deserves to be ranked higher?

Dude, if he goes back down to 147 then he should drop down notches on the list. I've been a fan of Paul Williams here lately because he fights like a warrior inside the ring and I know a lot of the *****s used him as Floyd's viper security system.

But about the first part of my post. He's losing me as a fan because of his actions. And I think he may already be past his peak because he's been hit so much.

I don't see how you can put him ahead of Chad Dawson.

Because he's more active and Dawson has had his off nights too like when he got that gift against Glen Johnson and looked underwhelming against Tarver both times.
